Jude Law is an exceptionally good choice for Lord John. And Jeremy Irons would be an inspired choice for Murtaugh. I love Gerard (have ever since the Bio pic of him as Attila...Yum!! But in reading some of the comments on here given the way Chris Hemsworth bulked up for Thor I think he might be a VERY good choice for jamie. he is still young enough to play 22 or 23 Jamie's age in Outlander.

Wow Uma would make an amazing Geillis.  I think Brianna would be the hardest to cast. I always picture her as a tall, strong and curvy girl...and young actresses are always too thin and petite!

Great choices!!! I can SEE her as Claire...as she was in the MUMMY...and NO for Gerard...too fleshy...but MAYBE for Gabriel (if he could act)...I still havent seen the GREAT actor for Jamie and it needsw to be great!!!

OMG...The only thing that is wrong!!!!.... is Jamie's hair color. That is so far from red->copper->gold. I've read/listened to the entire series at least 6 times. All unabridged and the hair is WRONG.

Nope, sorry. I just don't see anything in Butler that fits Diana's description of Jamie. Am I missing something here? There has to be someone who fits. I mean sure the hair could be dyed and then there are contacts for the eyes. But, then there's the body ~6'4", not bulky, definite facial structure and eye shape. Blah, Blah, Blah. Claire is described also but not as well.The hair is described like the girl in "Flashdance" . Blah Blah Blah

Oh... and Roger! I adore Jared Leto. I've been on the fence about casting Butler as Jamie, but I think it would work (provided they gave him red hair, of course). I know he's a sight older than 23, but make him clean shaven as Jamie usually is and he could pull it off. It would be better than using a different actor for the older Jamie in later films.

I also prefer my cast for this video. Except for Clare and Jamie which i prefer from the first. Kerry Russell is just Claire for me!! xD And I don<t know...as mutch as I like Gerald Butler, I think that there are better choices out there for Jamie.

Even though I personally like Rachel Weisz to play Claire...Gerald Butler is a little too old (though not for me, lol) to play the role of a 23yr old...And about your first ?, one of my relatives was on the internet and she briefly found some info about the making of Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" into a movie, but she can't recall what that website was, so I apologize...I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it was true and if she comes across it again, I'll definitely send it your way!!

Here is my take. I do love your choice for Claire, she's one of many good choices! While I love the idea of Gerald Butler as Jamie, he's too old for the original Outlander...in that book Jamie is younger than Claire. He'd make an excellent older Jamie though! Jenny seems off to me...maybe not enough fight in her eyes? Gellis is supposed to be beautiful(and crazy lol), and no offence but beautiful is not what I see in Tilda Swinton.

Also Dougal has red hair like Jame does :)

Very good choices! Like mot of them, especially Gerry and Jared. Would e great to see both in one movie.But I think Rachel Weisz looks a little bit to innocent, she is Jenny in my mind. Thank you!Ah well...Claire and Jamie are 2 very hard characters to cast, everyone has a different opinion for who they want. Gery seems to be very popular to cast for Jamie, but Claire is very contraversial! Michelle Pfeiffer was also in my choices for Geillis, but I find Tilda looks crazier! ;P
