the adjective "Moroccan" indicates a national and cultural identity which encompasses Arabs, Amazigh, and Jews. The authenticity/indigenousness debate is an empty one. Difference and diversity are inherent to Moroccan cultural identity, and should celebrated as such.

You are stupid. Most Moroccans are proud of their Berber heritage but the current Moroccan culture and identity is not purely Berber. It is a mixed culture. Rouicha sings in both Berber and Darija. I actually didn't say "Morocco is a purely Arab country." I said is that this whole debate or whether Morocco is Berber or Arab is ridiculous. Moroccans are Moroccan. There is a mix of races and it has been going on even before the Arabs set foot in Morocco. I do believe you when you say that the genetic make us is different from the Arabs in the East, because most of us have more Berber blood/genes. (to be continued )

Morocco does have a unique culture and identity, but that does not mean we don't have anything in common with what is known as the Arab World. It's just history, and whether we like it or not that is our reality, and we have to make the best of it.
