Not a real big Journey fan, but I remember Steve Perry with this group in the 70s and 80s. Steve had a fantastic voice and range, but this new guy, Arnel, is no slouch. He's got a really good tone and really is a good fit vocally for the group. People complain about him sounding like Perry....well, those are Perry led songs. Hard to accept a different sound on classic tunes. Would anyone accept a sound that isn't Mercury-ish on a Queen tune or Plant-ish on a Zeppelin tune? Give him a break

I always loved Journey and Steve Perry but.. he's not with them anymore and this Filipino named Arnel Pineda is incredible. The Philippines has so many talented singers it's unbelievable. Glad to see they're still singing and they sound just as good now as they ever did. Love it!!

The best summer of my life was in 1978 when Journey came to Chicago. I saw them 3 more times and then went into mourning for the loss of Perry. I saw Journey 2 years ago with their last singer and was disappointed. I think Arnel sounds a lot like Perry and isn't that what we all want. I would see Pineda but I'll always hope that Steve Perry comes back.
