Fake. No tow-truck driver would rig a front-(or all-) wheel drive car that way. You tow with the passive (non-drive) wheels on the ground, and the active wheels either in the air or on dolly wheels. Towing that car that way wouldn't get very far, and the drivetrain would be severely damaged in the process.

The issue is that you risk damaging the transfer case (on 4wd/awd vehicles), and the viscous coupling. if it's just a 2wd vehicle, you still don't tow using the drive wheels, because you can damage the transmission. The only way you could tow that SUV in the video that way would be to either isolate the wheels from the road (using dolly wheels), or isolate the wheels from the drivetrain (by removing the front driveshaft).
