I have been to that park before!!!! the one with the fountain!!! ooohhhh!! now I want to go back to New Orleans!! haven't been there since Katrina :( I miss New Orleans everytime I see any movie with New Orleans in it!!
From the moment they reunite in New Orleans to the moment her mother shows up, you can almost sense the longing for more. It almost seems that their shared time as a real couple was the only real happiness either Owen or Alma ever had. It's heartbreaking if you think about it.
If you really care for a film - and this is a film worth caring about for many - you really should buy the DVD (BlueRay, if available) and see it on a hi-def screen with full sound system. As good as youtube is, it's still like looking at a movie through a keyhole. On flat screen, hi-def it's almost like BEING THERE.
I am currently reading the book Natasha about Natalie's life and one of the things the book says is that this movie was a flop at the time it can out. Can you believe that! I love this movie since the first time I saw it. I guess some movies are like fine wine, they get better with age and time.
I don't have "Inside Daisy Clover" :( I haven't even seen it yet. It should, however, be in the Natalie Wood boxset Warner Bros is coming out with this year!
