I have an MS6 and I smoke g37s cruising on 6th gear from a 60mph take off for those of you who aren't real man and don't know manual that's a really slow start and infinitis still can't keep up I know you guys want to feel like your cars are so fast compared to civics but thats about the only cars you can brag around lmao

this is total bullshit. the speed 6 has more torque stock, with those mods it should be putting about 270 to the wheels, which would be well over 300 hp.

the g35 weighs the same as the 6.

Yep somebody sucks at driving because g35's cant keep with speeds 6's. Maybe from a fast roll but thats it. G35S's can't keep up either. Only 350z's with good drivers (which are rare) can give a speed 6 a good run. My speed 6 runs 12's on the stock block / turbo.

Ok first of all, I recognize the beeping, the guy has a passport X50/8500 and it's the laser detection being set off by the engine's electrical system. Secondly, I also call B.S. I have a speed6 and have beaten (by a small margin) 350Z's and new G35's. I did some research and the 2007, G35 Sedan, Automatic does 0-60 in 5.6, 1/4 in 14.3 @ 100 mph. (Forbes Auto Review) If the speed6 is modded it's not going to be taken by the G35. Unless they pumped it full of 87 octane LOL

Well there is always variations between testers. Barometric pressure/altitude, weight in the vehicle, fuel being used, and driver technique. I agree there maybe differences, I would only use the "tests" in magazines as a guideline. Same with the speed6. Once test in either Car&Driver or Road and Track got the 1/4 in 14.0 but on the forums, many stock speed 6 owners have posted time slips with low to mid 13's. With a few mods, quite a few speed 6's are in the 12s.

doesnt matter what u think, the vid doesnt lie. MS6 is a great car for what it offers. Nissan is superior. Those VQ's creep up on u from a speed, regardless of mods. I was puzzled myself when i kept with an '06 G35 sedan in my '97 Maxima GLE from a speed. I've also kept with an R32 VW from a speed but eventually he crept a length. Regardless, watchout for the VQ, it just mite snipe u!

This is the driver of the ms6 , the car was running with boost cut at 15 pounds , throwing only 220whp . this is stock hp for this car , so no wonder he puuled on me hp/kg was way better than me. as for the ecu yes it was unproperly tuned . i fixwd all of that and i am running at 19 pounds with a

The G35 on that video you posted is the last generation G35 Coupe which has the VQ35DE Engine. The G35 racing in this video is the 2007 2nd generation sedan which has a different engine, the VQ35HR. Two completely separate cars and engines. The G35 racing in this movie, devours the last generation stock for stock. That G35 Coupe dyno's about 230whp stock, the '07 G35 Sedan dyno's 260whp stock and has a better power all around the curve. Not the same car, you are thinking of the 1st Gen G35.

You apparently missed the part where I said it WASN'T stock, go look at the mods on both cars. As for the Sedan? how can a car dyno EXACTLY to the wheels what it has at the crank? you are mistaken.... VQ35DE g35 coupe = 280 @ crank. VQ35DE g35 Sedan = 260 @ crank....... impossible that a car can dyno the same power from crank to wheels with 0% drivetrain loss. If you're going to own a G, at least learn more about your car ;)

I'm sorry to break it to ya' but the 2007 g35 sedan is different to the 2003-2006 g35 sedans. The 2007 g35 sedan has 306 HP to the crank stock. The 2003-2006 have 260 HP to the crank. Haven't you noticed the G35 had a new second generation make over???? The 2007 has the VQ35"HR" engine vs. the 2003-2006 VQ35"DE" engine. Look for the differences, and you'll learn first hand why your critisizing something that you don't even understand.

I know it just fine, I considered buying a G. You're the "genius" that owns a G, yet knows nothing about Infinti. the VQ35DE g35 coupes are 280 crank. the VQ35HR g35 has 306 to the crank, and is automatic, & according to you bone stock. The g35 in the video I posted is a coupe, so let calculate... 280hp crank plus all those mods will put it OVER 306hp crank, not to mention it's LIGHTER than your 2007, & it got beat. Either this MS6 lied about it's mods (not tuned), or your g35 isn't stock.

To be more especific, this G35 is the base model, that means that according to Infiniti the car weighs 3,497lb. So, it is not much heavier. Secondly, in that video you showed us the G35 Coupe is actually catching up on the MS6 at high speeds and doing it quickly. The MS6 we raced is nicely done and has been able to touch the mid 13 seconds, the problem is that at high speeds the car is not as fast as the power might suggest. The MS6 was putting around 270-280whp, so it was no stock MS6.

Next time we race the MS6 we won't be stock. We'll be putting HFC's and an Intake upgrade to the G, and the MS6 is already tuned for 350whp, so we are sure he will destroy the G pretty bad. We will film it and you guys may comment on the results. BTW, almost all the races we perform, we at least get to 137 mph, which is were this G's governor limits it, just for reference. We are not one sided, we test a whole bunch of cars.

Yes, but a sedan is more doors, not to mention an automatic, so it's more weight. So the video I posted the G35 lost, and the G35 wasn't really catching up that fast, the speeds were about 130-140 after the MS6 already left off. But you're right, the MS6 doesn't get up top speed that fast, the reason for that unfortunately is the AWD, it creates a drag coefficient having to power all 4 wheels. and if he was 280 whp, then like I said I don't feel he was tuned.

sedans are lighter than coupes even though they have more doors, the coupes have no pillars so they need more reinforcement that adds alot of weight, learn your info before you post

Actually the G35 sedan is lighter than the G35 coupe by about 100 pounds. For 2007, the G35 sedan (V36 gen) was completely redesigned and its weight increased by 200 pounds, so it was heavier than the coupe that year (the coupe was still the V35 gen) but with more power. In 2008 came the G37 coupe (V36 gen) and it is about 150 to 200 pounds heavier than the sedan. In most cases Coupes are heavier than sedans due to the addition of more steel reinforcements at the doors for impact safety.

Plus 35 gen coupe to V36 gen sedan = sedan also makes more power than the coupe. More win!

The reason why I don't feel he was tuned (or at least tuned properly) is because I've seen some MS6s (there are quite a few in FL) with just an intake, a TB exhaust, and the CP-E EMS running low 13s to high 12s. My point was simply that I didn't feel the MS6 had a tune. I know G's with turbo kits can blow away the MS6. If the MS6 is tuned for 350 whp then I look forward to the next race. I would definitely like to see how the G with JUST 2 upgrades in power. That will be a good race to watch.

Thank you for ignoring what I said about a TUNE as well, if the MS6 was tuned it was a shitty tune. in that video I put up the MS6 only has intake and a catback exhaust (you get very little gains on a catback, like 3-4hp) the G35 had headers, a test pipe, and intake/exhaust. He still got beat by quite a few cars.

if a 350z cant do it, the g35 cant either. its as simple as that. Turbo AWD wins to larger horsepower 9 out of 10 times because of torque and boost. 20-40hp difference means nothing if the torque cant match it. 270hp280tq vs 306hp and 268tq. equal weight within 100lbs. one is a tuned from the factory turbo sports sedan, the other is a refined luxury sedan.

Dude, an HR 350Z will easily pass a MS6 after the 1/4 mile or from any roll. It has tall gearing, better aerodynamics, and a lot of top end from the motor, unlike the mazda 2.3. A good driver in one can slowly walk an MS3, which is lighter and has less drivetrain drag than the MS6.

The best time for an 07 Z was a 13.1 at something like 108. No mazda could ever do that stock. This G35 is only slightly slower than the Z.
