  • Wow. What a great idea.

  • @Uriel1816 And to think that someone threw it away!

  • I can smell what you're making.

  • @appa609 It tasted as good as it smells! Yum.

  • @rimstarOrg Would you be able to use one of these in the winter if it were sunny or would the cold weather and snow cancel it out?

  • @gamling1111 Hmm... My guess is yes, it would. After all I've cooked stuff in a frying pan over a fire in winter growing up in Labrador. Sounds like fun! If I forget to do it, and make a video, remind me this January or February.

  • Nice video !

It is sad that so many of those lens are ending up destroyed . So far I found 6 fresnel lens and mirrors. I also have a few of the smaller magnifiers used for the each of the small tv units inside the projection tv units.

So far I am the only on in this area interested in using these lenes to cook with.

They are fun to use and can save some money. And theses lens are great to have as part of an emergency plan.

Thanks for the video and good luck !

  • @Snapshotok2000 Thanks! That's a nice collection you have. I'm planning on going back and getting the small magnifiers too. So far I'm thinking of them for a siimple telescope and extra focusing of the fresnel lens focal point to an even sharper point to run a small can stirling engine. I'm sure I'll come up with other uses too.
