first: he played plenty of rediculously fast solos. listen to afterlife.

second: fast doesn't fit in with every song, you have to take the whole song into account before just flailing on the strings for thirty seconds.

I just think that Almost easy, being the single could have had a longer and slightly flashier solo...thats all. But I know what you mean the notes he uses are all totally in place

hate to admit it but there were some pretty ugly notes in that solo, just because its fast doesn't mean its a good solo. Note choice is way more important. At some points it wasn't in the same key as the song at all.

dude that was bitchin, nicely done, i take it u used scales, everyone does but the way i was taught uses a slightly different system containing notes from scales but like some scales are mixed with other notes too, do you think that has much of an effect on my playing, i suppose you cant tell without seeing what i mean

This maybe isn't the 'best' solo but i'll tell you one thing, it follows the backing track 1 MILLION times better than all the other ones. The other guys are just trying to shred, I don't think you get off the rhythm once, you're actually playing to the music...excellent entry man
