Now I have Medieval Total II (uninstalled at the moment) , but can I keep more than one copy going? Having a regular and than download a mod? I've been told no for Empire which I love and downloaded from Steam (I love their setup better than Origin). Advise would be helpful. Thanks for posting this video I enjoyed it.

@playman579 You need mtw II + kingdoms and then go to twcenter .com and go to kingdoms hosted modifications and look for third age total war in the forum. You can all your information there. Also mtw II + kingdoms is cheap on steam.

When u have downloaded the mod and all that, is there a campaign and such? Also do i have to install ALL the expansions from Medieval?

@TheMetalfreak360 Yes, there's a campaign. And no, you just need one expansion from Medieval installed. You probably figured that out already, though.

@Scribegamer I didn't know that u needed to only have one:D (good news for me) Is there a special one out of the expansions that i need? Or is it just random if i take Britannia, Crusader etc.? Also I have played the TA now, and it is fucking awsome, only thing that is missing now, is a real castles from the LOTR. :D

@ZeSniperRONeverCries That is really weird. The only thing I can think of is that you might have the battle UI set up that way in "Options." Otherwise it's probably some strange bug, and I'd check on the Third Age Total War forums for answers.

Nvm it  the problem was on 2.0 but I downloaded the 2.1 now and it works yay !

@laduck7 its a mod for medieval 2 total war kingdoms expansion, buy that and medieval 2 total war, if you already have them just look on many total war modding communities such as total war central.

i can never seem 2 win with the hobbits cos their units are so weak can you give me any tips with them?

@ostrogoth182 A mostly hobbit army probably won't do well except during the early campaign stages, when everyone is using low-tier units. I just happened to blitz Isengard early on. Eriador's early melee units are really weak, and so I chose to load up on the archers (hobbits and humans). If you put a screening force in front of your archers in loose formation, you can hold a lot of enemy troops in place while you shoot them up.

@ostrogoth182 I've never fought Rohan in a campaign with Eriador, because I usually ally with them (and all the good factions). They would probably be tough if they were fielding even their medium cavalry, but I'd just try to protect your archers with whatever early Eriador spear units are available.
