It's tragic how the maker of this video tries to make excuses for Carter not helping that girl, "he was warned not to \touch famine victims for fear of disease" BULLSHIT!. The man was shit for not helping that girl!
@DetoxMansion When was there any indication that I made an excuse for Carter? He killed himself probably because he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his picture and couldn't be proud of it because he didn't help that dieing child. People die every day from hunger, disease and starvation all over the world. What makes you so righteous to judge him? Have you ever been to a country at civil war before? What have you done in your life to justify your retarded comment?
There was someone who was sitting at a bus stop bench by himself in a rubber raincoat in 20-degree weather. The police came and got him to shelter, but I took his picture as a way to show others the hooded face of homelessness. I wish I'd intervened too. It was really awful, just a view from the back of a slumping raincoat on a bench, and some cold city lights hundreds of feet away.
People join the military to go kill. But really come on. the military teaches you how to use deadly force but they don't teach you how to handle seeing a kid dying from being shot by you. But some people have a lack of understanding of what needs to be done to keep us safe. This world will never be war free there will always be conflict. So all the people against our United States soldiers shut the fuck up and be thankful your ass is safe at night.
what i can see from this video..is that photographers are still humans afterall...taking a snap shot that would one day win an international prize or that would have a huge popular demand..they can feel....they suffer the moment...they sacrifice one to save many, they'r the tru holders of the truth itself....the eyes of the world that would open a gate to a new world..a world where there's no hunger and pain....thank your kevin...rest in peace...god bless..
im suprised he killed himself, it must of been really sad and upsetting to see them children starve, i just wish i cud do something, im going to keep them in my prayers and appreciate what ive got, and not take anything for granted and also i have a baby brother [ hes 2] and i just cudlnt imagine seeing him or any other child starve in front of me.
it's so painful!!!....i hope that god exists, who will embrace the hungry toddler, cuddle, nurture and feed with love and food...and do what we failed to do!
I did see the whole thing,I am just vey sensitive to the Palestinians, people, alot of the times dont see the whole picture, and can be very one sided. Thank you for your reply,I was signed in under my sons name, but this is my account.
Humans are the Cancer of the planet. We can't understand life and we can't help our selfs not to to destroy the inocent.I sure hope that we will distroy our selfs sooner fo we not know how to live.
as hard as it sounds god cant make us do anything we all hav our own option, he says in the bible that he gives us all a chance to be with him, if u miss it its just ur option :(, this vid is sad though
this is why 'big' countries have to go in humanistic wars and help poor countries AND NOT attack a country like Iraq 'cuz they *dont* have nuke weapon'... Canada is the country that have been involved in the more humanistic wars in the history, thats why i want my country the respect it deserves to his army and way to think. world wars is for loosers, if a country really wants to rule the world, hed have to start by making evrybody eatting and drinking... at least... fuck egocentric countries
If you watch the video for Manic Street Preachers' 'Kevin Carter' song, someone at the start of the video says 'The eye- it cannot choose but see'. Was this said by Kevin Carter or someone else? Can anyone please help?
i fail to see how jesus has anything to do with any of this except perhaps starting a few wars. that aside, this is very well put together and definately made me think hard about life. props mate.
War and famine around th world rages yet is pushed to the back of our minds. We ignore poverty in almost every African and South East Asian country. Instead we think about the bigger and better plasma screen we will buy.
We can only pray for people like Kevin Carter. We must pray for those suffering in this world. Mostly we must pray and be thankful for all we have and remember when it gets so bad we are infinitely better off than these people.

I'm not entirely sure that the child that was grabbed by the soldier was being used as a shield. I like your video but that part seemed a little ambiguous to me. The man could have been trying to get the child away from something maybe and he didn't really seem to use the child as a shield.
I agree with you on that. Looks likes some disguised propagande. The child was in the middle of the road and the man ran across, grabbed him and put in on the side of the road where most people were... it looked to me as if the child was taken to a "safer "place...
KEvin Carter paid it all with his life...so sad that he actually did not have to do that cause Jesus has paid it all. No army can protect us. No aid can either... people just get so trapped and not crying out to the One who can help.
I am at a loss for words, this video basically describes my last conversation to someone only you have actaully made a video of my thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to slap people with reality.-V

Very sad that some have so much, some have so little and some have nothing at all. The violence is horrible. We're all someone's son or daughter.
Good video - thanks for posting it.

@sweetloveJesus This kind of mindless jibber-jabber really annoys me.
Maybe if the starving children write letters to Santa he'll help them to.
