Fischer does nothing else but trying to sound brutal... It's a HUGE difference. I've nothing against CC music since Barnes' departure however I dare to say with him on the vocals they would sound twice as much brutal as the do now and sadly it's a reason I don't listen to any post-Barnes CC records. Fischer's vocals keep me away from them, although I admit instrumentally they still kick ass...
