  • Robert Wright is an amazing man. I grew up with him, and he continued this amazing life to this very day! He is a true hero even though he will deny it to this very day. He says he only did what his duty was, but he is and always will be My hero! Thank you for recognizing him as such and know that he touched many many lives.

  • 101st and 82nd first to attack, first to have dead soldiers and first to secure cities in normandy

  • great job spark

  • Yada Yada Yada...As a VETERAN I can well appreciate what "the greatest generation" gave on D-Day. I am

also aware of the healthy competition between branches

of the service and even the rivalry between individual units in the service have for each other. From what I

remember the 101st and the 82nd were always in competition with each other. If anyone was offended by my comments (I am not politically correct) I will send you a jpg of my pimpled butt so you may lovingly place your lips on it.

  • Hi sparkyasundevil thanks for your job in Angoville-au-Plain I come from to Belgium and I very like the Angoville and the history to the 101st Airborne !!

    Thank you !

  • Mark: A fine tribute to all who fought and served on D-Day. Having seen the window in person its very inspiring and thanks for all you did to make this happen. TC!

  • Sparkyasundevil: My comment noted an interesting fact - since the 101st is still active in Iraq, one would have thought that a member of that division would have been available. The narrator did an excellent job - and I don't think that pointing out this factoid is even remotely disrespectful to him or to his unit (the 'kissing ass' statement by 'DrMemory1701' may have been construed this way, so I should have made more of an effort to distance myself from that aspect of his comments).

  • Unexplainably, the 101st Abn.Div.did not reply to ANY messages that were sent to them. It should be noted as well that the stains that are shown on the church pews are blood stains from the men that were wounded during the battle. What really matters is the fact that the two medics and all of the vets that have seen the window appreciate what it represents. ALL patratroopers are brothers, no matter what division they are a part of!

  • Exactly what I was thinking, DrMemory1701.

  • Does it matter that the narrator is wearing an 82nd patch? If you took any time to learn about the window you would know that it does not only honor the 101st but ALL paratroopers who jumped on D-Day. The narrator was a member of the 82nd. Perhaps you guys should have some respect?

  • Outstanding !! A tremendous tribute to the men who came to liberate and especially the men who healed them. Thank You for your dedication and hard work.

  • I had the opportunity to visit this small parish while in Normanday last month. What an incredible story! This is a battle and story that I have never heard and it needs to be shared!

Bravo for the video! It helped me remember a wonderful experience.

Bravo to those who fought in Angoville au Plain. You are all hero's, deserving honor and respect for those trying times of your lives!

  • Great Video, but why is the narrator wearing an

82nd airborne patch on his field jacket? I didn't

the 82nd and the 101st kissed each others collective

    butts.

  • Its obvious that you have a faulty thought process. The man in the video can were what ever he wants! he was the driving force behind the window and the honoring of the medics. So when you do something half as worthy,

then think about your disparaging remarks you obvious 4 F.

  • wow what can you say about the 101st Airborne.... you guys are true heroes.. my idols.. i love all branches of the military, but being from kentucky, wow you guys ROCK!!! GOD BLESS

  • There are heroes

  • A well made video, and a beautiful window.
