i personally beleive rottweilers should have ther tails docked . it looks better and the pups might not even remeber it happened lool .and rottweiler can fight and u don want a stupid staf or something to grab and lock its tail it could be murder to get it off . also rottweilers breeding standard is without tails and if used as a attack dog it gives people nothing to grab .
Rottweilers...it all depends on the temperment of the puppy you get (breeding has a lot to do with it). Me personally, I never had a full blooded rott. Always mix breeds (rott/lab mix and rott/chow mix). First dog I kept chained up, not because I'm a moron, but because she use to dig under the fence and chase my neighbors' cats. Second dog (rott/lab) I still have. I tried to socialize her at 8 weeks, but she was too shy and ran from everyone. So she's aggressive too. All about temperment.
@blackbamabound Maybe you didn't socialize the pup properly. The pup is only 8 weeks old what were you trying to socialize it with? You want to start off slow. Introduce it to a very friendly dog or pup but not too friendly where it's trying to jump all over yours. You want to keep everything positive. Join a puppy class so it gets introduced to puppies first then move up to older dogs. Stay away from the old fart dogs cus they usually won't put up with a jumping puppy. Your pup could get bit.
the rottweilers are the bests dogs ever. I have one she is 8 years old and I love her. she sleeps with me since she was a puppy. I wish everyone would stop talking so many crap about these dogs!
of course! its the owners fault and no one elses if the dog bites anyone. its like abusing a kid when they little. you cant expect something good from that. they talk shit cause they never owned one. they dont know what its really like!
lol everyone knows that!:)! a friend of mine had one and i often walked him! i miss him so much! he died because he ate something poisoned that was left by some fucking morons (ofc I and him think it was one of his fucking neighbors but never found out who)!!! i hate fucking morons who think these dogs are laud or messy or dangerous and things like that!
I think anyone who knows anything about dogs knows the difference between play and attack. Rotties always "play growl", and I can assure you there's a hell of a difference when they do it for real. Mine grumbled meaningfully at a bush when a young woman with a small child were walking nearby on a footpath. A really dodgy looking bloke stumbled out of the bushes, drunk as a skunk. My dog was being PROTECTIVE of me, the woman and child, and stuck to my side until Mr Weirdo staggered off.

well cute, but they r realli vicios and bad to be owned at gaurd dogs, they may bark if they see a burgler and thats just PERFECT but to be falsed to kill and attack (which unfortantly you didn't do) is not the way to bring up a rottie but they r very dangerous and vicios i dont see a single sign of safty in all you guyz...
any dog can be "vicious" asshat. and no dogs are born "vicious". the only way a dog will be vicious is if it is trained to be. the only thing that makes people think a rittie id dangerous or vicious is how strong they are. some dogs are inherently more agressive but that doesnt mean they will kill anything within 5 feet of them. learn your shit.
learn to spell, idiot, and by the way, a dog can be born vicios, not always to be trained to, so learn your bloody words, if you think you're so fantastic at this, well say your speach as if you really know, mr pathetic.
Horsehoovez1, are you retarded? The word is spelt "vicious". Open a fucking dictionary. And when you look up vicious, look up the definition of vicious. Vicious: Having the nature of vice; evil, immoral, or depraved. You can't be born evil or with vice(hatred) dip shit. And when you make fun of my grammar, maybe you should check your own. You don't say a speech(not spelt speach asshat), you give it. And "Mr." has a period after the abbreviation. But sorry for making 2 typos at 1:00 a.m.
Oh, and to point out some of your other typos, realli(really), burgler(burglar), falsed(not a word), unfortantly (unfortunately), safty (safety), and guyz(guys)...yes, i know I'm a dick.
LOL! horsehoovez1, i just trashed you and that's your big comeback? I've seen Rottweiler too, in fact i own one. and right now I'm seeing that my 3 year old cousin is using him as a pillow and he wont move because he doesn't want to wake her up. HOW VICIOUS!!...yes i am fully aware that he could kill my cousin easily and so is he. but fortunately he was raised right and not abused or neglected. He CAN "rip, tear, KILL!" but chooses not to. continued above^^
But you can know and trust a dog if you have raised it. people can be just as, if not more unpredictable than dogs or most animals. people can also lie, adding to the trust problem...anyway the point is that you CAN know a dog if you spen denough time with it...
p.s.: i think when you say "thick" you mean stubborn and opinionated...which i am but i support my opinions with facts.
You Can Know a dog almost every breed I have a Rottie and she rolls around with Kittens and little kids. Have you ever had a Rottie? IF you havn't you have nothing to say I grew up with them one named Saddie and she was a dog that would sleep in my room and be my pillow, no matter where I went she followed, they aren't monsters or vicious, they are loyal and loving, and yes you can know a dog just like you can know a person.
They are wonderful dogs if the owner isn't psycho. They are NOT born ' killer dogs ' at all! I don't blame the dog if the frustration of getting only chained up and such will be the reslut of aggression.
How would you feel not being able to burn some of the energy off?
Only logical in the end isn't it?
They are just misunderstood, and they are very lovable.
Any dog can turn agressive...
I will always adore this breed and can't wait to get one of my own.
But it's not the ability to "rip, tear, KILL!" that makes a dog vicious, it is weather or not they choose to. if you attempt to contest this, horsehoovez1, you are either incredibly ignorant, or incredibly stupid. i have posed an intelligent argument, now reply back intelligently.but, by all means, have a nice day.
P.S.: what is a "thicko" and how am I weird? for pointing out spelling mistakes in retaliation for you calling me an idiot?
