  • boats n hoes!

  • Lose the Mandolin. everythig else sounds good.

  • wow ca

    n you do better?

  • recorded versions are good. but for songs like this...these are camp fire songs. They are just that much better when you get a few dudes just playing away on a few stringed intruments.

  • Tune the mandolin

  • Vocalist has it together.

  • Soundin good

  • Check out the Can't you See - Midnight rider cover by Snevets, B, and Dubree.. a litte spin on the originals and combined them as one song.. its posted on the comments

  • Loved it. Very, very well done. Thank you for sharing.

    Ron from Texas

  • that guy playing the mandolin looks like that guy from the waterboy the coach whos like gaaaaaaaatorade

  • AWESOME!!!

  • verse ..D then D7 then G ...sorry boys ..u gotta get that right or it just don't sound right

  • @homiethehamster For real. But C and D7 are close enough that it works as a cover for some dudes tryin to have fun.

  • GOOOD job Guys!

  • Nice...

  • right

  • tune that mandolin and you have yourself one hell of a cover!

  • To all the armchair critics out there, could you do a better version?

  • everyone is out of tune.... haha

  • eww

  • It appears that most of you don't know how a mandolin is supposed to sound.

  • mandolin she be put out of it,s misery! and while your at the singer tooo!

  • Looks like you guys had a good time doing this. Thanks for the post.

  • That brings back memories! Thanks guys!

  • Yeah I do not like this so much... Good attempt I suppose, just not comparable to the real Marshall Tucker Band...

  • nice mann..fukn nice!!

  • I dig the whine in his voice... don't know why, even when it cracks.. somethin about it makes me come back to listen

  • if your going to cover them DO IT RIGHT GET THE FLUTE!!!

  • I liket it!!!

  • amazing job guys

  • ouch! what happened to tuning and harmony. rookies i guess. nice shorts on the mando player too.

  • terrible

  • SOunds like an INDIA VERSION

  • Harmony is not singing the melody line with the lead singer. The strongest part of this song is the harmonies. Learn them or don't sing.

  • a mandolin is never quite in tune. That's what makes it a mandolin

  • @turnco If you know how to tune one it is...Its prob one of the easiest String instruments to tune. but what ever you say :-/

  • Good song, too bad you murdered it by singing (trying) and not being in tune...except for the Takamine!

  • nice job, enjoyed the performance.

  • the Mando is slightly out, but "The Fonz" is playing it! haha So does it really matter how out it is?

  • sounded great to me and the mando picker does look like a older henry winkler at times....nice pickin dudes

  • I liked it, you did it your way and it sounds great.

  • is that the fonz playing mandolin?

  • Way to go guys. Really good. You did it your way and it was great.

  • brilliant guys i like this.

  • aint nothing like toy and tommy

  • great job guys ! dont listen to all these negative idiots that probably have never picked up an instument bfore. awesome job singers got passion as does the lead guitarist!! and i think the mando sounded fine!

  • Hey Stop Complainin !!! Good Job Guys!!

  • Don't know why, but the high C ringing out from the mandolin is pretty memorizing

  • this guy needs some tissues for all his whining and crying

This song should have been called "cry me a river"

Mandolin guy needs to trade for a flute

  • i didnt like it. but good job

  • tune the mandolin, please

  • @GreenDaveDefoeSt too late...

  • @GreenDaveDefoeSt thats funny i said the same thing

  • mandolin out of tune

  • Nice carpet

  • sounds good but one of those guitars should play the melody.

  • okay,,,,so i guess I'll have to ground this production,,,,maybe because maybe everyone else is tone deaf. Long hair boy on the right,,,,shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,,,,,,,,unless your going to sing high harmony on,,"what that womans been doing to me",,

  • great love the mandolin in there.

  • Very nice guys, I watched it twice and bookmarked it for later.

  • SOLID

  • agreed........

  • pretty good but the 2nd chord during the verse should be a D7addC

  • lmao awesome!! i give it a 9.5 cause only the actually band could of done better lmao

  • That was excellent.

5 stars & thanks to Di for sharing.

  • Love acoustic and you're added for good taste. I'll forgive the 2 slipped notes on the mandolin intro. Your solo song deserves recognition.

  • great song & band need to try some of the band

  • Excellent cover! Great playing, great singing. I will now put the positive damper on things: If I heard that produced in an expensive studio it would sound fantastic. You need to get some nice expensive Neumanns and see how the vocals among other things that spring from such talent.

Good luck guys, youre a winner.

  • Thanks!, I Subcribe

  • I was lucky enough to see MTB in an outdoor (Texas Stadium) in the '70s.....The lead in on this song was magic in that setting....

  • love the mandilon

  • To PACTnetwork, get therapy! You don't know what you're trying to talk about.

  • damn Henery Winkler on the left

  • oh yes!, mate how come i never heard you before. wow, man, what's the story, you have got the talent of a professional, you are, aren't you?. well done!, what voices, and way of playing the acoustics!. many successes.

  • Good job. I had lunch with Paul T. Riddle last month, We talked about his friends not with us today and how much music has grown since this recording of the full band. Tommy and Paul were like glue, best friends and Toy was one hell of a song writer. a back bone for growth through music. Thanks

    Keith

  • are you in spartanburg

  • They're in New Jersey.

  • Great cover ~ GREAT song!

  • IS THIS HEAVEN IN OHIO?

  • This has always been one of my favorites!

  • Absolutely wonderful!

  • But what about the flute, thats what made this song so good! Good cover tho!

  • Beautiful version of the classic. I love the acoustic sound as well as the vocals. Love it, love it, love it!

  • Great cover of a classic. Call it southern rock or country or what ever else you want but this is blues at it's simplistic best. THERE IS NO NORTH AND NO SOUTH. MUSIC KNOWS NO BOUNDRIES. Very likely one of the best songs ever recorded.

Check out my wife and I doing a version of this. Were no Marshall Tucker Band but we do feel the music.

Toy could write em and sing em Thanks for the days of my youth
