the brickwall mastering technique. great for Definitely Maybe, but what a knock-on effect it had. 15 years of over-compressed loud shite sounding CD's. you have a lot to answer for Owen!

@dockaiser it's just a limiter/compressor, used on all records, he's saying he just emphasized it, can degrade the mix too.
