  • 0:20-0:23 - OK I'm warmed up! 0:27 - time for BIZNESS!!! 4 people can't see the groove for the grove! :-)

  • POWER OVERDOSE!!!!!

  • The best 4 individual musicians on the planet at that time in 1 band. Holy Moly.

  • Robert Plant is such a god damn demi-god! Sex on legs!

    10'000 stars!

  • Swan Song was the Zep label but the albums were released through Atlantic who originally had Zep under contract. Presumably Zeps label wouldnt have coped with the scale of distribution world wide. The album is somewhere between a 'here is some stuff lying around the studios' and a possible 'last album' due to agreements with Atlantic. Ball crushing riff on this by the way! as the years go by I prefer early Zep to the later '77 rock God version.

  • Can anyone answer this:

Why was CODA released? Everyone says it was to fulfil a contract and make the fifth album to satisfy the record company. But Zeppelin's record company, after 1973 was Swan Song, a label they themselves set up. Could they not have let themselves off the contract?

  • one of the things that is crazy is how they just walk on stage as though 'right another gig'. putting out fucking mind blowing performances was just standard routine for led zeppelin.

  • Jimmy's solo is just great. I can't believe how awesome he is!

  • The Led Zeppelin Dvd is the most magic purchase i have purchased in my short live.

  • This is the real shit right here.

  • My favorite album of all time.

  • @DarkVanityAcid Coda?

  • gamw k ta elginia exoume vierinia...

  • WE NEED THIS CONCERT TO BE RELEASED ON BLU-RAY HIGH DEF....!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bonzo = badass

  • This is how to start a show. nuff said :)

  • Way better than the studio version.

  • @atomicpunk48 technically this is the studio version. they took this and edited the shit out of it, taking out crowd noise and stuff

  • @pyurmassacur No shit. I didn't know that. Thought it sounded kinda similar, but rocked a little harder. Still a great tune either way.

  • @pyurmassacur JPJ's bass is the studio version, but Page had to tone it down because it was just too fucking awesome. Page mostly re-did the guitar parts, and John Bonham re-did some of the drums.

  • Heard this many times, but just listened tuning my ears into the phenomenal bass line laid down by JPJ. Amazing!

  • @LedPeplum Wow what a coincidence, i just tuned into the bass aswell and was going to write a comment abut how badass it is.

  • que poder de bateria

  • i've been watching this everyday this week...

  • damn, around 2:55 Page and Plant move in closer to Bonham and then strom out once the riff catches on once more. Absolute Ecstasy!

  • "Good evening" BOOM

  • i wish listen led zep all nigth whit a boy whom love zep to, and drinks some licuor

  • el mejor concierto de led zeppelin, que sonido, que energia,

  • I will groove. for you Led Zeppelin (:

  • There will never be another Led Zeppelin. Musicians these days cant and never will be able to play like these legends.

  • @rpsmith014 YOU SUCK rpsmith014, Led Zeppelin had a LOT of PRIME SONGS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @The12karaoke I think that might have been a SLIGHT overreaction. Do you know what "prime" means? You can't have multiple primes. And because I think that Zeppelin's live performances were their best around this time, doesn't mean I don't like their other ones. I AM SORRY TO HAVE OFFENDED YOU GOOD SIR -__-

  • @The12karaoke Aye, fuck off.

  • WHAT IS GROOVE IN SPANISH, I FROM COLOMBIA AND LOVE LED , PLEASE SOMEBODY EXPLAIN TO ME PLEASE. THANKS

  • @sandraptamayo1 It's "ranura" according to google translate

  • jimmy was on the smack bad back then

  • This defs makes me wanna "grove". I enjoy this song so much, I made it my username.

  • 448 Peopple listen to good music.

    Cheers to them.

  • This is real music, unlike that stupid lady gaga shit

  • anyone else in awe of JPJ's sweet bassline?1?!? frickin' awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • @randompandemic2 it's what's keeping the band together... bonzo nearly messed it up in the middle, but thanks to JPJ, they kept it together. JPJ, one of the best bass players in the world and one of my personal idols... in all bass-related things. and much of anything else. :)

  • @randompandemic2 He's the best part of a lot of Zeppelin songs. Love JPJ.

  • fucking great solo 1:40

  • AMAZING Zeppelin right here

  • this is the raw zeppelin power

    FUCK

  • Grove (nature), a small group of trees....

  • Its 'Groove' ! Learn to spell for the love of Christ - it takes such little effort and shows a bit of respect !!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Strange... I didn't know that you could "Grove"

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx even jones is moving...

  • Bonhams playing is off the fuckin map!!!

  • @renotsttam what about both?

  • THIS IS AS REAL AND GOOD AS IT GETS! NOBODY OR NOTHING WILL EVER COME CLOSE!!! PERIOD!!!!!!!

  • @JustSomeGuyOk

abso FUCKING luteley !!!! Led Zep are the best band touched this fucking planet

this live performance is better than on record , john bonhams drumming is great like ever (hes unable to play wrong), and these DEEP guitar sound , OMG i LOVE LED ZEPPELIN !!!

  • Led Zep at their peak.. A wonderful sight.

  • John Bonham's bass drum sounds like 10 MILLION atomic bombs detonating at the same time

  • we're gonna grove?.. hmm sorry i'm not sure what that means...

  • @JustSomeGuyOk Making kids. Thats what were gonna groove means..

  • @MrMercuryFan nigga shut yo mouf!

  • @JustSomeGuyOk Bitch!

  • Get this DVD and listen to it in 5.1 surround with the volume cranked. A truly life affirming experience.

  • 2 people just fucking suck. No explanation needed..

  • God is superior.

    God gets that great tone.

    God uses Marshall's.

God uses a Jimmy Page Les Paul.

    God is Jimmy Page.

  • Nothing short of genious. Four of them actually.

  • I bought this dvd. and after watching this performance in its entirety... i can say with 100% confidence this is the best concert that has ever been performed and ever will be performed. Never.. Ever.. will a band ever reach this level of greatness.

  • yeah...this is the best...

  • " Good Evening "

  • What a way to start a gig!

  • How awesome is Bonham in this huh

  • they should put this royal albert hall performance on album instead of using the same old album songs like they did for mothership, but i guess it was a way to reach a new audience

  • i stole this DVD from my friend....

  • @JustSomeGuyOk hey you're real name wouldn't happen to be calvin would it?.....back in '03 when i was in high school i let this kid borrow the wall & this zeppelin dvd and i never heard from him again. though its a great concert, i would steal it to if i had the chance.

  • Ive tried to express it before but couldnt get it, just before they came out to the stage I stood by the dressing room with the red velvet curtains and felt a kind of special anticipation or recognition of something, and even though Id seen them before this had that unique feel to it.

  • FUCKING AMAZING! Nothing can ever top the mighty ZEP!!

  • This is what LZ was all about...raw power in their live shows...nobody could touch 'em!

  • AWESOME

  • everybody needs everybody (robert plant)

  • Even the little bit of drums Bonham plays before the song is great.

  • @magavishnuxc God will not never play like Bonzo. NEVER.

  • John Bonham died because God wanted drum lessons.

  • @mahavishnuxc HAHAHAHAAH EPIC, and I guess by 1980 He already had a decade of voice and guitar lessons from Jimi and Mr. Mojo Risin' under His belt, robe, beard...whatev

  • @MBledzephed it's a strange coincidence that the letters in "Jim Morrison" just so happen to spell "Mr. Mojo Risin", that was an omen of how great he was going to become. i also just want you to know that you have good taste in music and you're my kind of guy.

  • @mahavishnuxc and you gonna die if i see you in real live cause you are telling a joke that 238947298374 others already had told

  • @Luukeeeehh you would willingly kill someone for typing up some meaningless comment on the internet? You must be one of those manly mans who gets all the girls right? easy there tiger, i hear you roar.

  • 2 people are... shit i cant cant even understand why anyone would dislike this?

  • thumbs up if this song makes you wanna grove.

  • @RickyRocker821 byker grove?

  • pages hair is so black.it seems like his head disappears into the shadow

  • R.I.P Bonzo you are missed

  • I like Plant a lot better in his "pre bare-chested days"

  • jkjdfkljfksdfkajdkfjaifjaewokfjaeirjfaoiewjf'akoewjfoiaewjf'oaiwejf'oaiwehfj'aoiwehfg'woeihgw'aeoigfhW'EOIGH'weoifhw'oeifh'WEOIFH'woiehf'OWEIFHA'OIEWFH'oweifh'weoigfhweoigh'rekvnordehnverdnviuerhvbkrjnvsrevhauhvf'DFVKDJHHFHFHFHFHFFHHFFHF'KDSHF'LKSDFH'SFHOIEI9FHSKDLNCERIUHCINC jdjjdjjjjdjjdjjjjjdjjdjjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdjdlksjf'skdljfeimcncapifejueijf'poiejfijijdijdiejdiejdiejdpsdfpoiej wow a whole 500 characters gone ha by the way this is the best song ever mafe by the best band everr

  • i swear this sound nearly exactly like the recorded version on coda.

  • @JimmyPagesBIGESTFan - That's because this IS the version that's on Coda.

  • @cwphunky68 Oh... didn't know that.

  • You know youre a hard hitter if you break a stick before you even play the first song.. :P

  • @jimihendrixtribute

haha i never noticed that hahahah. thats awesome haha

  • thanks so much, yes I got it! 320 minutes and it has that song on it. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH! I am a total Zep freak; even went to the Knebworth in UK 1979 and worked on the crew. Have it all (both days) on VHS.

  • why they spell groove wrong

  • i dont understand how this is on coda bud this is in 1970

  • @corpralkirsch read the wikipedia page on the album, you´ll understand then

  • @corpralkirsch 'Cause It's an old ass fucking song that never made it on an earlier record.

  • - Turn that shit down!

    - But mom, it's Led Zeppelin

    - I said, turn that shit up!

  • That, my friends, is a good old-fashioned ass kicking!!! Take no prisoners! These guys came out like a shot from a canon and never, ever looked back.

    "Good evening".

    BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is the version that ended up in the Coda album. What a flawless performance...

  • I love the smoulder of Percy's cigarette when Bonzo starts up with the drums. Fucking sexy.

  • best drummer ever ! rip john bonham!

  • No fancy stage show-they don't need ANYTHING-show up, play, kill. This is so fucking great-and JP Jones and Bonzo are the perfect rhythm section. The first time I heard "Black Dog" live, I didn't even pay attention to Page's solo-all I noticed was the bass and the drums.

  • @marynightshade My thoughts EXACTLY.

  • Led Zeppelin's lost Motown single haha

  • The best of the world..

  • metal

  • Comment removed

  • John Bonham: THE headbanger

  • There is 1 person that dislikes this....How the hell could u dislike this!!!

  • If it hasn't started with a cigarette, i'll apreciatte more...

  • @Glacius96 WAT

  • @Glacius96 Why would you give a shit about the video starting out with Robert smoking a cigarette? Listen to what happens AFTER he smokes that cigarette! Pure Magic!

  • 1:38

  • I wanna know where robert put that cigarette out?

  • best band ever

  • Lol, i love how hes

    "Good evening"

and then they start to rock the shit out of everyone...

  • c'était le temps où le rock se vivait , sans fioritures ni "artifices"....

    belle époque....à jamais perdu..

  • I think this concert had the best tone out of all them. Page's gear sounded best here, bonham sounded as loud as ever, jones's bass sounds raw as usual, but Plant's voice.......my oh my, it is peak here. Definetely their best concert.

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx BBC Sessions had THE best... this is second.

  • @ledzeppac yeah man some of the tracks off of that shit was from this amazing night. but yeah seriously this concert beats everything in the fucking world.

  • @disda1n BBC Sessions was completely different. None of the RAH clips were on BBC Sessions.. completely different.

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx i think they were even waay better back in 68 or 69 look at the communication breakdown live in paris in the early 69

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx Oh I would definitely agree. I recently watched Bring it on Home from this concert, Plant's voice gave me chills. . .

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx yea i wasnt a big fan of bonzos acrylic drum kit i think these had better tone and punch the snare never changed

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx without a doubt, seamless gig which is perfected by dazed and confused. top notch!

  • @xXXPrinceAlbertXXx i wish i could give you like 100 thumbs up for this

  • I LOVE that they started with this song...it's such a statement(AND it gets the crowd movin')!!!! =D

  • Plant spegne la sigaretta sul palco?xD Grande!

  • there best concert

  • @theplourde Well put! LED ZEPPELIN IS THE GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER!!! Respect the Mighty Zeppelin!

  • live concerts-no better quality than this, EVER

  • There will never be a band like or close to Led Zeppelin ever in the history of rock. These four guys together with instruments...the most powerful thing in the world.

  • Led Zeppelin is very unique, the didn't need make up, strange clothing, or pyro technics. They just used there amazing music.

  • when i was watching this dvd i was waiting for the guys to just stop playing turn around and yell at bonham, "why do you do the things that you do? stop outshining us!"

  • Comment removed

  • Jimmy sounds like he almost isn't gonna make it... then he pulls through with an awsome solo. what makes him so great

  • These early performances are amazing

  • great solo and bass and drums fantastic

  • These guys not only rocked they freakin' grooved like hell

  • Bow down to greatness

  • A bit of a surprise...thought this would be something about citrus groves....We're Gonna Grove...figured it would have featured orange, grapefruit or other citrus growing and harvesting techniques...guess i'll go back to squeezing my lemons.

  • All of this back and forth about who was the best musician attests to the fact that they were all really damn good.

  • and for those that didnt know this: This IS the "studio" version of the song.. Jimmy page did a guitar overdub or two.

  • I can't listen to this one more time. My mind is literally going to explode. I can't do it. I just can't. Jimmy you ARE a GOD!

  • If you don't have the DVD already...BUY IT!!! If it costs ten bucks...BUY IT!!! If it's a hundred bucks...BUY iT!!! If it's a thousand bucks...BUY IT!!! This masterpiece is worth a million!!!

  • @Ibrakeforanimals ........or downloaded for free on the internet its ok because these rock gods are fucking billionaires, unlike you, the youtuber who is reading this comment.....yeah you. you are poor, a normal average "joe" whom no one cares about if you step into a place and yell "good evening".

  • @Ibrakeforanimals this should be the highest ranked comment on here

  • @Ibrakeforanimals what all is in the dvd?

  • @ZakkHendrix666

9 hours of excellent footage...the complete Royal Albert Hall concert from 1970, some Madison Square Garden Footage from 1973, Earls Court 1975, Knebworth 1979, Some TV Show gigs and the Danmark Radio footage from the very early days...if you are a fan you have to get the DVD! And if you are not a fan...buy it and you'll become one for sure ;-)

  • @Ibrakeforanimals is this the Mothership cd or the one put out in 2004? The one in 2004 is 5 hours and the Mothership is from 2009 and shorter. Lemme know!

  • @Mikebird59

It's the one published in 2003 with over 5 hours of footage...I was mistaken when I wrote over 9 hours in an earlier post...It is simply called Led Zeppelin DVD and there is a cloudy zeppelin floating over a rock in a desert on the cover...Enjoy it!

  • @Ibrakeforanimals

    hell yeah, your right

  • @Ibrakeforanimals Sure is worth it..I have this double dvd and it's priceless :-)

  • @Ibrakeforanimals their finest show in my opinion, top class from start to finish.

  • @Ibrakeforanimals hell yeah!!!

  • When they were at their best in my opinion. They really rocked it in the late 60's - 1972.

  • Power, mystery and the hammer of the Gods

  • what did ever happened to rock 'n roll? No one, fuckin' no one, rocks like this anymore...

  • OMG, this is so good!

  • jesus crhist

  • Jimmy Page + John Paul Jones + Robert Plant + John Bonham = Rock Gods

  • 2:54

  • Tout est dans le titre.

  • Just awesome, I love them at their early intense best. Yes their age made a difference, as probably did the vast amounts of coke!
