  • I did Medi*Fast 4/06-1/07 lost -90lbs. i was slacking a little bit. but i got back in the game by going to the gym. i weared a size 26-20 and it was exciting and it started with my face to my feet. Meals i did was 5 shakes a day Dutch Chocolate and 4 reg bottles of water and a lean green meal (5 & 1 plan) its so much easier that way. you don't really need to exercise but u can to tone your body! i did but bot much. and i got this from Job Corps as a Ginny pig, me and 3 other people. <3

  • Are you exercising as well? Because you can lose 21 pounds in two months with exercising and eating right... Just saved myself some money!

  • Hi! Have you ever tried intellectus 424 diet (search on google)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend lost tons of weight with it.

  • I'll start it tomorrow cuz it will come tomorrow. I'm 5'4 and I'm 130 lbs. I wanna be 115 lbs so 15 lbs to go... yeahhh Hope it will work.

  • You do lose the weight but you gain it right back :( It lowers your bmr so that when you start eating again your body goes..SWEET! FOOOOOD..STORE IT. Please if you do do this..when you get to your DW go back slowly to only healthy foods. Been here..done it..learned the hard way.

  • I chose the Variety pack they have, where they send you a bit of everything so you can try it. When you receive the pack if there is something you don't like after trying it you can exchange it for something else you do like. After that variety pack I started just individually buying packs of things I liked :)

  • I'm not doing it anymore, just trying to eat healthy and staying as active as I can on my own :) I loved Medifast though. You should really check out mymedifast . com though as there are amazing people supporting you on your journey on there and you can find some really great recipes. I loved making chips out of the chicken noodle soup :D

  • @digupmyheart I GOT MY MEDIFAST TODAY! I just thought I should let you know. What were the "chicken noodle soup chips" you said???? You need to let me know everything about it!

  • Yay so happy you got it!! If you go to mymedifast . com and sign up then search the Forum on there for Chips made out of soup (I preferred with Chicken Noodle Soup) They are good! I liked to add One bit of Laughing Cow Cheese on top of them :) You can also make Muffins and such out of the oatmeal. Just have a look around their forum and you'll find things :) Good luck!

  • metafast is not free the meals cost and you are suposed to be under a dr care. Too costly.

  • My thing is when you get off this diet you will probably gain a little bit of weight because that's not a balanced meal. Its better to have a balanced meal and learn to eat properly. I use to do all those diets and it worked at the beginning but once i came off I gained a little weight. But with proper eating and diet you should lose weight and keep it off. But congrats on the amount of you weight you have lost so far.

  • Medifast is a complete balanced meal...do a research on it. Everybody who follow the instructions lose the weight and keep it off for good

  • medifast has different stages to acclimate your body. but it's a medical diet and after you lose, i would recommend joining weight watchers to maintenance and learn better eating habits for regular eating.

  • One thing about when you went off the plan. In the long run, you probably think of it as a setback. In reality, it was probably exactly what you needed to accelerate your weight loss. If you run an aggressive calorie deficit, your body will start to go into starvation mode. Lean tissue eats itself. Metabolism falls. You don't burn fat. Not good weight loss if any. You get off the plateau by telling your body it isn't starving by eating MORE food. It's counterintuitive, but the truth.

  • This is a really sound program. You're looking great!

    Everyone should do their meal planning this way. But for those who don't want to invest in the medifast system, you can buy similar foods at the grocery. Each of the five meals are about 100-150 calories, and the lean and green meal should be close to 600. Guys should always get 1500 calories. Girls at least 1200.

  • Medifast is awesome,even if u eat a regular meal here and there,if u stay on it, u will continue to lose inches,if you replace a few meals for life,with medifast,not only is it healthy for you,but you will most likely maintain your weight forever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want to get on medifast but for some reason it won't take my debit card. I'll wait until tomorrow, because it says my deposit is still being processed, and then try to order it.

    I'm not one to cook. I can but I don't like to so I figure this will be the best way to loose my wait because all I have to do is grill some chicken and toss it in a salad and I'm done, lol.

  • It really does work! I fell off plan because I moved countries and couldn't bring the food with me, but it works if you stick to it everyday :D

  • I tried Medifast, lasted two weeks...trust me you'll get REALLY bored with it and miss real food!

  • You do get really bored of it, but when you see how good the results are it's worth it in the end :D

  • I can lose/gain like 3 - 4 pounds within hours... why do people measure their weight that closely??

  • Glad you found a plan that lets you lose weight. I also recommend a plant that feeds you several times a day. Because it keeps your metabolism going. A lot of people out there think you have to starve, but that just kills ur metabolism, and makes your body store everything you do eat as fat. Which is why anorexics can gain weight from one little cracker. Stay healthy!

  • At the moment I'm not doing any exercise due to still feeling weak from surgeries, But I will be slowly starting up by using the stationary bike to start with :) They recommend you start exercising 2-3 weeks into Medifast though.

  • Hey Kel...nice to hear you've been making progress in this particular area in your life you've felt you weren't happy with.

    How long are you on this program? I'm just wondering because this doesn't sound like something you want to live on...you need a lot more fruit in your diet. Hopefully you'll get back to normal food soon.

  • I wanted to be on the program a lot longer, but I am actually going to Denmark September 1st so I'll have to end it there probably and try a different approach on dieting.

  • Portion control and excercising...that's the best way to go.

  • I need to lose weight too! I need to lose the spare tire around my waist.

    I have to start exercising again. I like using the Gunner Peterson Core Secrets exercise program which uses that exercise ball thing.

    I was thinking about doing a YouTube video also, like you did, because it might give me inspiration to try harder, and stick with the exercise program, and stick with eating correctly.

    I commend you for doing this! I bet it was hard. Anyway, you're looking good, so stay STRONG!
