Sharks barely kill any people at all. Death rates of shark attacks every year are usually about 2-0. People are just scared of them, after seeing so many shark movies and hearing about what they are capable of. They are in fact creatures that normally eat small fish, and are very afraid of humans.

Actually, Paneatix, sharkfin soup is the biggest reason why sharks are disappearing. Their disappearance is a sad symptom of human stupidity. The fins actually have no taste, they only provide a certain texture to the soup; a texture that can easily be mimicked by other foods. If it were up to me, sharkfin soup would be banned across the globe.

i seriously dun get whats wrong with making panda soup. the point is regardless of human behavior, MANY species will dissappear. due to natural enviromental causes, failure of evolution, over eaten by predators (not always humans) and so on. so why should humans be the only ones to feel obligated to save endangered species? if they cant safe themselves, fuck em. I doubt sharks, lions, crocs will hold back if we were to be on an even field. i dun think they will care if they eat us to extinction

Part of the essence of being human which separates us from animals is realizing the consequences of our actions. We should feel obligated to save endangered species because, in the overwhelming majority of cases (such as this one), we put them in that situation without any good reason. Animals kill other animals for survival and don't understand the concept of extinction. . humans have options, like eating meat from sustainable sources.

Oh I'm sorry, I don't check youtube every day for comments. Humans have been hunting sharks for hundreds of years, but never in such large numbers. A hundred years ago we didn't have trawling nets that catch hundreds upon thousands of fish and ocean species, sharks included. Sharks are much different than rabbits and "other types of fish". Sharks give birth live, like all large animals. Only the smaller ones, that must rely on large groups to survive will give birth to larger amounts of young.

Shark fishing, or watever u call it can not be stopped, so the best solution for this situation is to LIMIT the shark harvest(like for sword fishes) and we should culture sharks.i mean we can make fish ponds, why cant we make a shark pond for its shark meat.

Ok so I love sharks for all my life (preschool) and so to see such a beautiful creature like that deplete so quickly is sad. also if the great white sharks doesn't exsit then sea lions (or something like that) will grow alot, then there food becomes scarce, then they die. so you would already have like 10 species out the door plus all the animals that eats those are gone so basicly the entire food chain collapses!!! The sea one anyways. Also it is very sad that they would just dump them.........
