  • @JUVON007 hahaha, i thought the exact same thing, Look ALOT alike

  • Nice locs... i do this too but usually soak my locs in this mixture the bathroom sink before shampooing and the rest.

  • .....vinegar smells like shit

  • Thanks man. I have 3 foot locks been growing for 18 years so maintaining is challenging but this helps. I need a girlfriend to help me out, ha.

  • The Thing Is,Im losing my hair and I cant afford scalp rejeneration since I allready have thick wavy italian hair.I also LOVE celebrating being unquie a creative, free sprit(which I know is not nessarily limited to people with dreadlocks) I thought it would be a perfect match for me...but Im worried about getting lazy and the bad knotts taking over. Also bugs can crawl in the deepest insides of the dreads and make a home on your head....Right? I had a hair stylist tell me horror stories.

  • nice to see a dread that likes reggae n not metal

  • do a shower video so u can demonstrate exactly how u wash them im a visual learner thanks :)

  • his voice doesnt match his face haha!

  • what type of dreads do you have man?

  • doesn't vinegar smell bad tho?

  • @pkerg0d when it's in ur hair, yes but when u wash it out, the smell isn't there anymore. u could also try salt and or herb rinses if the smell is too harsh for you!

  • Does any body know how to do dreads with out wax? Hit me up wit info if you can. Thanks! :0)

  • @jonrhs yo bro there are lots of videos on how to do dreads without wax im on my second set of dreads and have used no wax this time round i use the crochet method which is pretty fast a very simple to do just search for that on here you will find loads of videos there is a guy called skillteacher who has lots of information on that style of knotting

  • how long did they take to lock up completely

  • u look so soo hot!!!

  • Do you put vinegear in JUST the dreads or your whole scalp?

  • I think you're beautiful guy!

  • he's very handsome

  • if my scalp was realy itchy or dandruffy, id soak my head in vinigar then pour baking soda on my head. it feels amazing! and the bubbles get rid of all the dandruff!

  • Lindos Dreadddddddddddddddds !

    Salu2

  • hey how long and how bad does the smell stay in the hair from the vinegar?

  • did you use wax

  • how mcuh do you have to dilute the vinegar ??

  • @91IZAIAH A little bit afterwards but it will go away.

  • hermano me lo puedes resumir en español xD se q eres mexicano :p yo igual hmm tengo 2 semanas con mis dreads y apenas recien las lave por completo, igual no quiero llegar a tener problemas con ellas :p te agradeceria mucho tu ayuda

  • @xGA1x Usted debe estar bien

  • hey, what about using red vinegar?

  • @z0mgwtflol Not use, I use apple cinder its a little better smelling, haha.

  • Love your dreads. Check out dreadcap.com

  • @Thedreadcap Thanks, I will.

  • @antmatrix i thought i was the only one who listens to Bob Marley - Cornerstone while in the shower lol...just lately i was noticing bluish grey fluff stuff in the core of my locks and at the tips in the undreaded hair, lots of ppl tell me not to worry its just dirt/lint stuff from my pillow etc, i was whonderin if u ever get any of that in your locks? and thanks for this video lots of help bro

  • i have natural neglect dread just stoped combing them i wash them regularly and they always smell good i love peoples faces when they smell how clean my hair is hahahahaha changing opinons

  • @CashFlowOverTake Awesome!!!

  • Es solo vinagre y agua?

    Just vinegar and water?

  • @HugoGuy yes to dilute the vinegar.

  • did you retwist your dreads at the start or did you just let them grow out naturally?

  • yep i'm mexican too and my natural hair is more so wavy...i use vinegar and warm water about 50/50 and half of a lime. i leave it in for 15mins and wash my dreads with organic shampoo and that doesn't leave any residue in your dreads. also add a few drops of tea tree oil and it leaves my scalp smooth and clean. Shampoo takes the vinegar smell away so your scalp is healthy and the dreds looks awesome

  • will this get rid of the nasty smell of my dreads??

  • @antirasict245

yea, after a few hours they have a very light vinigar smell thats actually not that bad.

add just a teaspoon of coconut milk into the vinigar for every 2 cups of solution and it's alkaline properties help counteract the smell of the vinigar.

  • vinegar will get rid of dandruff?

  • @saraisaudacious For minor dandruff, yes but dandruff shampoos can be used on the scalp only to help fix major issues.

  • @antmatrix Check out dreadcap.com

  • @antmatrix What kind of dandruff does a vinegar rinse help with? Do you smell a bit like vinegar after?

  • @antmatrix What kind of dandruff does a vinegar rinse help with?

  • @saraisaudacious Check out dreadcap.com

  • fuckin' subliiiiime.

i'm dreading a piece of hair right now actually.

i probably won't do all of it, can't have it at school.

    this was helpful though thanks!

  • how about using normal vinagar

  • @YoungKnoccOut normal vinegar works just as well.

  • what ethnicity are you man? do you have naturally straight hair?

  • @deftonesinatra1 Mexican. No I naturally have super curly hair.

  • your very sexy

  • @gadzoomtoo Thanks :)

  • I hate it when I get danuff in my hair. When I do get danuff in my hair I would use shampee

  • 'Eye ball it' huh? Hahahah word

  • your dreads are rad Bro :DD

  • Thanks :)

  • how do you know if there is residue in your dreads?

  • You should be able to feel chalkiness in your dreads.

  • I`m so gonna do this with my dreads! I am using an anti-dandruff shampoo but it`s no good. And it stucks in my locks looking like dandruff... I watched your vids and they helped me improove my dreadlock-maintaining qualities lol^^...

    Nice locks btw:). peace

  • Thanks means a lot to me, Im glad I could help :)

  • I normally use apple cider vinegar for this. It works for me. You know what helps dread itch? For me it's Cold green tea or black tea. You just have to deal with the shock of freezing cold tea when you dump it on your head XD

  • For itch I use mint extract and it leaves your hair smelling good.

  • this helps with dandruff?

  • yes for mild cases it does.

  • cool, I'm soaking my hair right now in apple cider vinegar, hopefully this works better then that Dr. Bonner garbage... I have that exact same bowl your using except smaller ha... After watching your vid I'm starting to wish I did my dreads thicker.. I got 1 year old dreads that are a little less then half as thick as yours. Mine look cool but when they get longer I bet thicker ones would look nicer.

  • @bangtizzy if you have thinner dreads and want thicker ones let them congo and stick together at the roots and they will form into bigger thicker dreads :D

  • @bangtizzy hey dude his locks r congoed thats why tey so thick just dont fuck with your dreads and they'll get like th

  • @bangtizzy Dr Bronner soad is great. More than any so called ''dread shampoo'' wich is horrible. Just use Doc Bronner and apple cidar rinse once a month are you're fine! and for your thin dreads i can suggest you to tie some of them together and wait until they forme one... thats why i prefere neglects dreads.

  • @IllusionaryMind8 Dr Bonner is garbage. It leaves a residue and it has a really strong stench. I use dreaheadhq shampo and after trying everything else I wouldn't use any other shampoo. After seeing all the problems with neglect dreads I wouldn't want to do that either.

  • would u recommend just doing this once a week and never using shampoo? im at 3 weeks of my dread journey an want to stop using shampoo altogether bc its bad for ur hair

    message me ur reply

    u have gnarly dreads btw

  • How often do you do this?

  • Once every two weeks but I'm thinking of doing it weekly because it does a better job I believe then shampoo.

  • Cool thanks! ya probibally dont have to do it as much when there new yeah? i just dont like the smell of vinegar very much lol

  • would it still work if you dunked your hair in the vinger/water and let it dry first? or do you have to do it after you wash your hair?

  • I wouldn't recommend letting it to dry in your hair just because I haven't tried it.

  • so you dunk em all in and then pour the rest out on your scalp while your in the shower? then wait 10-15 minutes? then get back in and rinse? im wondering because i want to try it, you said its good for your scalp so im just wondering how is it you get it on your scalp

  • Thats correct.

  • how can you tell if there is mold? is there a smell, and if so what does it smell like? i just want to make sure i dont have mold in my dreads

  • Smell is the best way and people compare it to a wet towel that hasn't dried in days.

  • best way is to get one of thos hooks and going through ur dreads one by one

(crotchet hook i think its called? idk)

  • Hey,

I am thinking about trying this, still in the process of fully knotting up. Would the vinegar loosen the existing knots??

    Nice vid btw

  • Thanks. If your hair is ready to wash then it's ready for rinse, vinegar won't loosen existing knots. Hope this helps :)

  • I will let you know how it goes when I try it. Maybe in the next 2 weeks as I am travelling around North America til mid November.

You are definitely the first person I have personally seen try this.

  • Why would your hair stink? Why dont you just wash it your hair with shampoo and water every 2 weeks.

  • There are cases where your hair can smell because it wasn't dried properly and mold will grow in thicker dreads if not dried well.Shampoo and water does do the trick, the rinse is just to help your scalp during those long period of not washing.

  • I find washing with shampoo makes the knots undo. Nice trick though! I'll have to try it, my moms been complaining every time i see her bout the smell, but I think shes just giving me a hard time about them.

do you do a vid on tightening them?

  • @iheartnaturesbeauty Make sure you are using a shampoo with no residue and if you need an anti dandruff one, use T/Gel its REALLY good and don't use one that claims to make it healthy, shiny, or smooth.

  • nice vid im gonna try it but first, quick question...u know anything about mixing the baking soda with vinegar for some sort of deep cleanse???

  • Thanks, umm i haven't heard of it but seems plausible.

  • what do you do if you do this and the next day your dreads still smell musky?

  • Dilute it less, so use more vinegar than water and leave it in longer so it gravity has time to work it down through the dreads. Hope that helps.

  • i think i need to do this man, i have pretty bad dandruff, everytime i itch my scalp there dandruff shit on my nails gross lol and theres like scabs or something, how exacly do you do this?....should i do it before or after i shampoo or do this instead of shampoo??

  • Shampoo first rinse, then u vinegar rinse and wait about 10-15 mins then rinse it out good

  • I'm glad you found it useful, thanks

  • I heard about this, but thats the first time I seen it done. good vid.
