Watching & listening to this is like opening a wonderful gift. The joy these musicians share with us is the gift. Jeff enjoyed this so much. Thanks Randy for reminding us on your recent CBC radio show that we can 'tap' in and bliss out.
Jeff Healey has been one the most inspireing & genious artists ever in the history of music. He is truly missed ! there was no one like him to my knowledge , or ever will be ! ( without short changing the rest on this podium ,but that must be apparent ! ).... :) gus
Oh yeah Bachman can play like the rest of them. You gotta hear the rest of the BTO songs on their albums. I'll always remember Jeff In Roadhouse With Swayze. I'll bet they are gonna jam out "She's Like The Wind" up in heaven.
First of all, for me, there was B.B. King and then there were Rory Gallagher and Stevie Ray Vaughan. But Jeff was the first guitarplayer of my generation, who touched my heart as much as the other great ones. His sweet strong voice and his guitarplaying will be with me for all of my life. I miss him.
It only makes PERFECT sense for Randy to back up Healey. Their talents are equally astonishing. I feel sorry for those who haven't grown up knowing either of these two.
Jeff Healey was one of the great musicians. He not only played incredible guitar, right up there with Clapton, and Knoffler, he loved rock n roll as a soul music. And he was equally good and and fond of blues; old, old, blues and old old jazz. He did a show on CBC called " My Kind of Jazz" which was just wonderful using all his own collection of 78s.
Thanks again for putting this video together and making it available. (I had no idea Randy Bachman could play like that!)
I hope Jeff's family and friends see some of the comments here on YouTube and take comfort in the fact that Jeff was so widely loved and had such an impact on so many lives. God Bless 'em.
Absolutely BRUTAL playing, especially after the 4 minute-and-change mark! As a Canadian, I am ashamed that I was only "sort-of" aware of Jeff's talent, until after his death.
But isn't that the case for some of the greatest musicians in all History?
I am glad that his music is going to live on, but I sure wish I could tell him that in person. It is all bittersweet to me, anyway you slice it. I miss him.
nice, canadian power !! rip jeff a true blues brother !!!

The way Jeff plays the guitar is incredible. In this video he looks a little bit sick..... but last time a saw him live was in the end of the 80tys.
Think I could declare this two guys play with very very much feeling. That´s the most important thing by playing guitar.
