I love the fact that Batman parked in the red zone when he went into "get" the Penguin. To show he was really turning into a criminal. It would have been even better if he had parked in front of the fire hydrant.
blimey this episode's been a little more dramatic than normal for this show. i used to assume the joker was batman's deadliest and most cunning foe, but from what ive seen so far, id say in this series those titles go to the penguin and maybe catwoman
The Batcycle you see at 3:52 of this clip was different from the one used in the 1966 movie and the second and third seasons of the TV series.
In the Batcycle used in the movie and Seasons Two and Three of the TV show, the sidecar had a go-kart that could be ejected so Robin could ride to the right-hand side of the Batcopter at Gotham International Airport while Batman in the main part of the Batcycle parked on the left-hand side of the Batcopter.
Batman and Robin are still GUILTY of attempted Burglary. They should go to trial. They had NO legal recourse taking those jewels. Even if they could prove their intentions, that wouldn't hold up in a court of LAW. What message did this episode convey? That Batman and Robin are above the law?
How shocking! Even though it might have been "edgy," the series would have made a stunning impact if Batman and Robin did die at the end of the series this way. I can just imagine how intense that would have been, especially if the Penguin had finally found a perfect way to successfully engineer the end of our caped crusaders.
It really did look like the end for our faithful heroes. Those police and people looking over the "dead duo" just add so much to the tragic scene. End of the story.
R.I.P. batman and boy wonder :(

Hearing Burgess Meredith utter, "Curses, curses, Now we have to fight another round," made me think of his role as Mickey, Rocky Balboa's coach.

The penguin always comes up with the best schemes. A lot smarter than the riddler or the joker.

You would think that if they were using real bullets that they would just pull out the Bat Shield and the bullets would be useless.
