  • I wish my band could play with half their energy! We have energy, good energy in fact. But compared to MC5 we are near comatose! =D Dear Punk Rock, You're welcome. -MC5

  • I'am not sure, but I think this was a German TV Show called BeatClub.

  • Where is the sound? It's so fucking silent. And you young bitch, we don't need your help to know that's the MC5.

  • i am sick of the "processed sound of today"

the mc5 are the real deal.no frills.just stRAIght up rock like it is

    supposed to be played!

    KICK OUT THE JAMS MUTHERFUCKERS!

  • Rob Tyner not even remotely attempting to sing the words to this song = FLIPPIN SWEEEEET.

  • ORANGE AMPLIFIERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The dude from Mars Volta copied his mic mannerisms

  • Best/worst anglo-fro of all time!

  • Best/worst anglofro of all time!

  • This was from the German show, "Musikladen". They had Orange amps that everyone on the show used. Also, if you're into gear, check out the "Euro" Sennheiser mics on the amps. They're the white ones that used a four-pin "Tuchel" connector instead of the 3-pin "Cannon" or "XLR" connector that we all use today. I grew up in Lincoln Park, Michigan and these guys lived down the block. They were the real deal! Very powerful.

  • @jamestlenahan hell yea i grew up in lp too this is my shit

  • Couldn't have done this song without you Rob! lol

  • @smautomat I was a white panther back then so it was great getting MC5 on the tube though, living in a commune down on Warren where we had no tv left little opportunity.

  • @foxxxin Are you still in Warren? Lol, I'm living in Eastpointe, man.

  • This is the Requiem for Detroit. RIP Rob, RIP Frederick.

  • What a Fro!

  • Down in front, whore!

  • haha the stations though that would cover up the motherfucker their wrong!MC5 lives on!

  • What the hell is with the woman that says EM CEE FIVE at the start? Great song but this is a little quiet for me. Playing MC5 quiet is wrong.

  • What model is wayne's guitar?

  • It's an Epiphone Wilshire.

  • first time hearing or seeing the MC5 and I must say it is not quite Lawrence Welk show material.

  • Tyner's glittery jacket is totally Greektown fag circa 1972. I love it.

  • @pinwizz69 Hard rock, not heavy metal

  • slusao sam ih 80 tih a sad ih bi gledam

  • hippies ...?? where..????.. i just see rebels

  • My comment is, Detroit rock and roll was not peace and love. Listen to Mitch Ryder.

It was kids of factory workers, where the machinery was pounding in their ears all day. And these guys will kick your ass and steal your girlfriend.

  • what do you expect it's detroit even the Hippies there were violent

  • @TSaxman74 Hehe, steal your girlfriend, show her what she's been missin', then send her back wet. Did it myself a couple years back to some spoiled little suburban Harvard educated cunt from the Boston area. That'll prolly be the last time though, kinda gettin' up there in years. ;~) MIDWEST IS BEST!

  • i dont knno and i dont care she was pretty hot

  • Rock as pure as the driven snow, baby. Beautiful...

  • finally the original fucking video. KICK OUT THE JAMS MOTHERFUCKERS. R.I.P. ROB TYNER AND FRED "SONIC" SMITH.

  • WTF at the begining

  • KICK OUT THE JAMS MOTHERFUCKERS!

    great!!

  • what type of guitars are those? o:

  • the ones u use to kick out the jams

  • one is an epiphone wilshire, the other is a rickenbacker 620.

  • They must have changed between the time the 'Kick Out the Jams' album was recorded (1968), and when this was filmed (1972). According to the album liner notes, Fred Smith played a Fender Guitar, Wayne Kramer played a Moserite Guitar, and Mike Davis played a Fender Bass.

They also changed Bassists a few times after 1970.

  • Epiphone and a rare Rickenbacker.

  • red ones an epiphone wilshire

    not sure about the other

  • They look like Gretsch Corvettes to me.

  • KICK OUT THE JAMS MOTHERFUCKER!!!

  • this jam rock dumbasses

  • censorship should be fuckin illegal. this is as great song

  • Fuck me, DennisThompson knew how to beat the living crap outta a drum kit...greatest rock drummer ever imho...

  • What the heck is with the chick at the start of the song???

  • lmao they all look like white James Browns

  • Punk rock pioneers:)

  • um no. This is rock n roll.

  • 100% rock'n'roll and riot:)

  • "The Who" were the first punk band everyone else followed.

  • Wayne Kramer's plaster caster is pretty uncomplimental. He should ask for a re-do.

  • WOW, what's that move at 4:35 ????

  • haha I think you mean 1:35 hehe

  • nah, sorry, I meant 4:12

  • ??????????????,

  • that's called feeling the funk

  • A pity they didn't dare risk play one of the tracks from High Time. Guess they thought it was better to stick with the greatest hits at this stage. Great, but I hear a little barrel scraping going on here.

  • robs dancing reminds me of cedric bixler-zavala of the mars volta

  • seriously huh?!

    haha

I hope tube does not snatch it out of my favorites

AND ALL YOU WIMPS DOWN BITCHING :

KICK OUT THE FUCKING JAMS !! what do you need a light show ?

  • 1968 idiot. You may be to young to realize fashion and style from that era, but know this; MC5 was the harbinger of hard rock as we know it today.

  • You know absolutely dick about music. These guys are in the top 100 metal songs of all times. They were to punk what Black Sabbath was to metal.

They had such a following that when Led Zeppelin went to Detroits Grande Ballroom to open for them, the crowd couldn't wait to get Zep off of the stage for the headliner...The MC5!

  • yeah NOOB that vide is from 1968 idiot

  • I want that ORANGE!!!

  • steev moorhouse?

  • Comment removed

  • Exactly! This places the video in 1972. Michael Davis didn't show up in England on time to do a gig at the London School of economics and was kicked out of the band after he finally did get to England (the done kicked him out). British bassist Moorehouse played with the 5 for the rest of the tour.

  • MOTHER FUCKERRRRS!!!!!

  • OMG THIS IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!

  • i bet almost all of you are here because of the VH1 Hard Rock countdown right?

  • Gotta be the best fro of any artist from the 60s! Love it, love it, love it!!

  • not better than Don Brewer's of Grand Funk! haha

  • what the fuck is the singer there for except for the opening line. badass anyways. Kick Out The Jams Mother Fucker!!

  • Yeah... there actually are lyrics, he just doesn't sing 'em here. But these guys tore it up on guitar. So I guess Wayne Kramer can just dance and stuff, and that's okay.

  • kick out the jams motherfuckerrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  • This song deserves respect. 1960's...amazing and revolutionary.

  • Look at that mad jew fro.
