  • Excellent

  • shades of Benoit!

  • This is a hysterical ass beat

  • donnie yen is a fucking g

  • this why i like chinese martial arts, better then american martial arts.

  • @terewolf12 So you don't like this clip? Donnie Yen made it MMA-style, which means the combat is more Western/Brazilian/Japanese/Thai than it is Chinese.

  • @ultimatehammer i love the fightin. i have the movie, i meant, more chinese wing chun. muay thai. im not much of fan boxing, cuz where i live to much in common do something different

  • I keep showing this movie to all my friends since I bought it when it got taken off of Netflix. EVERYONE loves this movie.

  • Thats all thai boxing its awesome

  • For those who ask, yes, he did died.

  • he threw that kid so far lol

  • GERMANO SUPLEXERU!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And that's how you get your ass kicked...

  • dude, this is the kind of fighting movies i love and respect, they actually take hits and give hits, not of that 1-inch away and you react bull shit

  • what is the name of the throw down he did

  • @TokiiHopZ suplex

  • @TokiiHopZ German Suplex

  • we need more suplex in fight scenes!!!

  • Didn't like the movie much but fair play the fights were absolutely brilliant

  • lol the suplex reminds me of great teacher onizuka, boss status

  • isnt that cung le ?!?!

  • @BboyKiddpanda donnie yen.....

  • @Huhmasta well i know that dude i meant the other dude -_-

  • @BboyKiddpanda Xing Yu

  • this is the best chinese action movie i ve watched so far

  • wow, the video is no longer blocked!

  • That suplex a la Guile style was the shit!!! Best one if seen on film!!!

  • german suplex seems silly the user hits the ground first

  • You assume that "hitting the ground" is a bad thing. You land first to continue the arc of motion you started at the initial lift. The opponent slams from a much higher height causing more damage.

And the way Donnie goes into it is just too much. Such a great movie with great fight scenes.

  • yeah great fights yens a genius but still if you land wrong even a professional can injure themselves and after that the person lands on top of them

  • Comment removed

  • true but with this techniques it seems more of a risk as the users own upper back and head hit the ground even sacrifice throws in jiujutsu and judo are safer than this. the risk seems higher when another more effective better looking throw could be used lol

  • Every technique has it's use and purpose, but either way, I'm glad that Donnie Yen put the suplex in this scene.

The transition into it and the choice of the move itself (don't see it too often in movie scenes) was very entertaining!

  • i guess so im probably just against it cause its like a professional wrestling move the one he does at the end looks better cause he isnt under it hes kinda holding his leg at the thigh and driving him into the cement blocks

  • While the suplex might be seen in professional wrestling, it does not come from it. It is a legitimate Greco Roman throw, and you don't always have to land first.

Look at the clip. Donnie doesn't land first. You can also twist around in mid-toss so you are right side up when the opponent comes down. Just search Youtube.

  • Well all fighting is a calculated risk. You can injure yourself doing any technique, lol.

An improperly made fist or poor alingnment of the hand can break the wrist while punching, you could hurt your knee joint or lose balance while kicking, there's going to be a potential risk with anything you do in a fight.

  • xing yu did injure his eardrum from the landing

  • jeez what did he land on you'd think they'd have pads and stuff

  • they wanted it to look realistic, they didn't use 100% power in each attacks, but around 50% or so.... at least that's what Donnie said in the interview. They had a wire on xing yu which gave an extra height when Donnie lifted him, so I assume that made the landing more devastating. They never talked about use of padding though.

  • @Lukeiru

Padding is an unknown concept in Chinese/HK cinema.

US film crews have suggested it a few times, but no longer since the Chinese laugh at them and call them pansies.

  • the way he went into it was perfect. I've never seen anyone go into a suplex like that at such speed.

  • It really is the highlight of the scene. Donnie Yen is smooth no doubt!

  • In the movie, they actually hit each other not at full force of course but they still hit each other which makes it so realistic.

  • 0:56 That "German Suplex" was just awesome!

  • Highly agreed. Best one ever.

  • HOLY CRAP THAT TRUE OMG

  • it was sickkkkk! haha

  • I Agree But It's Other Name Is The "Running Tiger Suplex " or "Dragon Buster"

  • totally agree...really stiff! Dx

  • yo u noe wut i find amazing... how real they can make it look lyk their beating the crap outta the guy but in reality lyk nothing happened

  • Actually, according to a Donnie Yen interview, some shots were real.

  • the guy with white shirt take all the beats! he cant do shit hahahaha

  • hey a599524123, thats cuz DONNIE is way 2 pissed off about the girl thrown by the guy with white shirt. but DONNIE sure did kick his ass.

  • DONNIE AND COLLIN RULEZZZZZZ

    this guys are AWESOME

  • wow..nice fighting style..i always see donnie yen using kung fu..but here he seems to be more of a street style kind of fighting...very cool indeed..

  • Yeah it is. He is using MMA in this fight scene and throughout the movie.

  • oh..now i know..so this is called MMA? ok..i should check it out...thnx for telling..=)

  • yeah! Anytime :)

  • from 0:57 is so fucking awesome...

    ATOMIC BUSTAH!

  • U wanna change that to german suplex...

  • this isn't a fight scene more af an ass beating

  • @KurtBaclig lol the guy threw a kid he deservs it.

  • the guy in the white is being the freind of donnie in ip man and here he is gettin his ass kicked lol that is funny

  • it's a curbstomp battle...

  • THATS CALLED PURE HATE

  • and the moral of the story is...DO NOT MAKE DONNIE YEN ANGRY

  • hey, isnt the guy that was winning in iron monkey?

i dont really know all the actors xD

  • yes

  • Yes thats donnie yen....

  • he hit'em with a german suplex...go donnie

  • can any one tell me where to find the ost of this movie pleassseee

  • shit!that's so cool..

    smothly..

    nice fight..combine boxing,wresling..

this guy has ability 2 join ufc..

    great!

  • @adlishaari he is great, but hes too old for it .hes 48 years old

  • Holy crap. That dude had absolutely no fucking chance.

  • the punch at 0:49 is real

  • i heard all the hits were real

  • Nope yen emphasized safety for all actors in this movie.......he prolly used pads and camera tricks like throwing a punch stop and then push through to make it look like a punch and edit it in........

I'm amazed at how convincing it is

  • actually they really did hit each other, in the making of the movie they said they really did hit the other actor but pulled the punches enough that getting knocked out was unlikely, but it still stung to get hit.

  • I'll have to look it up thanks

  • yoooooooo that suplex was fucking hot, he slid in that shit nice

  • nice music any one the name please

  • coolie looks mexican, 4 some reason, to me.

  • DAMN! 0:49 must hurt really bad

  • BUUURN KNUCKLE!

  • this is such an awesome movie!

  • That suplex was serious!!

  • Why coolie why did you hurt that girl? I loved you in Kung Fu Hustle! And in Ip man! Why do you always die?

  • he was in ip man? oo wait the guy who fights the general with 2 other guys rite? ya hes cool to bad he had to throw the girl plus hes viet in this movie rite? im viet that down grades us lol! XD

  • yeah......y DOES he always die??? xD

  • lesson learned... thou shalt not hurt little girls in front of Donnie Yen.

  • That suplex move looked really lovely

    Donnie yen is the best!!!

  • I CANT AGREE MORE!!!

  • i see donnie yens boxing is really shown through out this movie...pretty dope..im feelin it

  • just a thought, but since MMA=Mixed Martial Art, then isnt any combination of more than 1 style a form of MMA? so like a eskrima guy who also trains in judo would then be a MMA practitioner? just a thought, lemme no wat anyone else thinks

  • Originally and technically mix martial art meant knowing more than one style. Now adays it means more along the ways of what you see in UFC or mixed martial arts circuits. Basically it means understanding of an effective stand up art and effective ground/grappling form.

  • thanks 4 the definition of what mma is which we all know....and your point is?

  • Just to be clear, the choreography although uses a lot of "MMA" moves, REAL FIGHTING looks nothing like this. He was merely trying to dramatize the moves of MMA. Although entertaining, this should not be considered how MMA looks or EVER WILL look.

  • actually MMA does look exactly like that....you obviously don't know what MMA means...the styles of fighting that they use throughout the movie together are what make it MMA..and also its not being "dramatized" they are actually hitting eachother, most of the actors were actually injured during the making of this movie. Donnie Yen himself had busted his eardrumb during the outside food-area fight scene. All of this info is in the special features if you buy the DVD.

  • MMA DOES NOT look exactly like that. Are you a moron?? Show me one fight where someone escapes an armbar like that, let alone throw that much connecting hooks and haymakers that land? LOL. The moves are real, yes, but how it's displayed is unrealistic.. You should actually LEARN MMA and wake the hell up. LMFAO.

  • why the hell are u on here anyways. this a fight scene. go watch ufc if u dont appreciate fight scenes u fuck

  • Still it's a better MMA inspired actioner than Never Back Down.

  • The choreography is more entertaining, but none the less they're both as unrealistic as each other.

  • actually this scene in realistic. ufc, mma have rules and youre not allowed to kick in the groin, neck back so mma fights are not how real fights should look like.

  • i noticed u posted this comment a dozen times.mma does look likethis but this is just in a fight scene so its exaggerated. u dont know shit about mma

  • No, MMA doesn't look like this. IF You read my comments, I say that the moves used are REAL and are used in MMA, but how its portrayed is unrealistic. It seems you don't know anything about mixed martial arts.. or martial arts.. Or fighting in general. Sad to see.

  • how its portrayed? like i said many times this is a fight scener so of course its unrealistic becos of its context.'fight SCENE' i know alot about mma but youre the only one here who is being a pain by stating the obvious

  • First, that definition was to someone else, not you, try read the "see all comments" section and not make yourself look bad. Second, I'm pointing this out because it seems like you and a few others thing thi si show real MMA looks.. Which it doesn't. :D

  • learn to read. i said their techniques are real mma not the whole fight. seriously theres no point moaning about it. go watch ufc as u seem to not understand the difference between mma fights and a fight scene. youre saying the obvious that fight scenes arent real.....and they are not. stop being so childish as u shouldnt be watching this clip in the first place

  • Uhm, I'm actually teaching you that this isn't a real scene. You can't read my comments, let alone type properly.

I'm not saying the fight scene is real, I was stating that this is now how real MMA looks, which you pitifully believe. Lol

  • OMG, my bf is going to be on this show in a couple of months but he already finished filming, he plays a boy, and theres a mystery on who robbed his house< a guy has to put a gun to his head. Man this will be intense but halarious, GO GRAEME CRACKER!!!

  • nice comment raven...

Wo shi i ke cung kuo ren... !

    Ip man !

  • power level one million!

  • Moral of this video: Don't piss off Donnie Yen. EVER.

  • 0:57 win.....no more commment....it jus win. full stop

  • He is fast, dammit.

  • 1:25-1:33 BRUTAL.

  • great fight you should of included the running part before it where you see donnie fly from one side of the screen to the other in about 2 seconds flat

i was amazed at :38 and the brutality and accuracy of this fight it shows donnie is far from done in martial art cinema

  • crazyyy yen

  • Ban Ki...

  • his ground and pound is almost as good as Fedor's! lol

  • i love the way he swooped around the bad guy at 0:58, how does he move so fast

  • yeah it shows how much style donnie yen has

  • I seriously wanna see donnie whoop ass in the UFC and show those clowns what real martial arts is.

  • Actually if you watch the making off, he said he was inspired by MMA and UFC when coming up with the style of SPL and Flash Point, and hired MMA trainers to work with his team...

  • Lol, jumping out at Yen like that... what a silly thing to do. He must have regretted that decision almost instantly.

  • Oh I wouldve gone over 9000 like donnie yen in this scene! FUCK THAT HE THREW THAT GIRL!! BEAT HIS ASS YEAAAH! haha

  • Donnie Yen. The only man to make MMA look aesthetically good on-screen.

  • donnie makes it looks like def jam that fighting game and loved that suplex

  • the way how donnie yuen fight make me feel like i want to learn mix martial arts

  • donnie yeun has improve alot

  • Donnie yen is a gundam. Did you see him strafe around that guy

  • lol

  • now thats what i call a ass whup

  • MMA STYLE

  • wow german suplexXD

  • beautiful suplex setup at :58 - 1:03

  • It's Like the grip of Clark from King of fighters Haha!!

  • yo taht thing he did at like 1:03 or something when he grabs him like doesnt he get hurt to if u do taht? lol

  • I'll bet there's more comaraderie among asian actors, especially when they work that closely in fighting scenes. Are technical laws harder in U.S.A. in general?

  • this si good BUT

should have included where the chase started OR at least where u see teh kid dead cuz thats where the anger and emotion arise from (=

  • that part where the kid gets thrown was just saddd

  • yes but nessacery beacuse when donnie yen beats the shit out of the guy u cant feel bad for him lol so to give him a reason to be so angry and to give more evil to the other guy they add taht scene ^^

  • lol true

  • Donnie was goin' straight loco in that scene! Left, rights, rights, lefts, uppercuts, body slams! That no-holds barred stuff is amazing!

  • its because that waiter looking dude just straight up threw a little girl like a baseball across an entire restaurant, out of a window an onto a sidewalk, thats why at the beginning donnie looks like he just found out his wife has been banging his best friend.

  • I wished that dude didn't do that...cause Donnie ended up kickin the shit out of him for that. Never hurt a kid in Donnie's presence, it really pisses him off.

  • lol @ the card board @ 1:03

  • actually he does not use wushu, tkd or the mma you watch at UFC and such.He uses Jeet Kune Do you can see it by his stance and fighting style,Jeet Kune Do is similar to the MMA you watch on TV but it's not ... Jeet Kune Do is not even a style

  • The Suplex at 0:59 is Great!!!! X-D

  • That suplex is AWESOME!!!!! I love this scene!!!

  • srry... i am just a beginner at MMA [mixd martial arts]... just curious if Donnie here is using Mixed Martial Arts or just one particular fighting style..just curious...

  • hes using mma. throughout thw whole movie mma is being used.

  • Traditional TKD and Wushu techniques combined with more practical MMA shiz.

  • watch the final fight scene to this movie

  • yo he had to train for that muaythai kick. hell yeah.. and tiger deserved to be thrown with the ura-nage.. hottest fight scene ever

  • Donnie's opponent is the same guy from OUATIC 3 with jet li. His name is thunderfoot in my version of the movie but they translate his name different in other prints. Hes the crazy/dirty kicking guy

  • Donnie's opponent is actually Collin Chou aka Ngai Sing, from the Matrix sequels. the dude you're referring to is stuntman Hung Yan Yan who appeared in all the OUATIC movies.

  • Mr. Yen's opponent in this fight is none other then Xing Yu, many may know from Kung Fu Hustle. He played Coolie. He is a Shaolin train martial artist, 32nd gen. Again, for more info, Buy the movie from Dragon Dynasty.

  • omfg 57-1:01 was that judo? either way that shit was crazy to see how swift he was on that one take down i wach this about 5 times just thinking how he got to do that perfectly

  • If you look carefully the punch really connected BUT Donnie's arm was a rubber fake LOL real punch like that would've knocked a tooth out or something.

  • How many rubber Donnie Yen arms are just lying around? It was a real punch. The outtakes are around here on YouTube somewhere (saw them at one point) and yeah, there would appear to be some dental damage.

  • @ BennyDunks

That punch was real. If you watch the Making Of videos, it should have a small little segment about this particular fight.

  • Hello, hello. Yes, Mr. Yen's arm is a fake one, if you watch the Dragon dynasty, Mr. Yen along side with Bey Logan talk about the film. It is an old trick that many Hong Kong films and others, use to sell a powerful punch, kicks, and even a trunk as in "The Protecter" Yeah, I don't have much of a life, so I watch as many Hong Kong films as I can. All right, later.

  • this is right i watched the commentary on this movie and they said they used fake arms for some shot to make it look really real i think on the slow motion ones and its the angle too BUT the scene where wilson comes and fights with taht guy forgot his name he ACTUALLY HITS HIM lol accedntly he really hits the man in the face lol : )

  • This movie rocks but u guys should watch SPL(Sha Po Lang) cuz Donnie Yen was in the movie and he died in the end....sad....

  • why the F*** did you tell me that! I was waiting to watch the movie. WTH man! Not everyone saw it yet. Please be more considerate next time. You coulda ended your sentence with just Donnie being in the movie and you recommend it

  • Btw, yes that is a bit of Muay Thai. Donnie Yen studied and trained in mixed martial arts and actually prefers that type of fighting in movies.

  • he looks like he does muay thai..is it muay thai??

or is it like something else?

  • eso si es una pelea

  • Wow. This is the first fight in a martial arts filmed that even remotely resembled a real fight. Awesome!

  • Wow. This is the first fight in a martial arts filmed that even remotely resembled a real fight. Awesome!

  • isnt that guy fighting donnie yen a former shaolin monk? i hear he now has a shaolin kung fu school

  • btw tht fucking asshole really deserves the hell suplex. how could he do tht to a little girl?!! if i were Donnie Yen, i wouldnt just do suplex. i would probably do piledriver, powerbomb, elbow drop, or perform 619 on him. nice fight though, i really like it

  • damn i love that suplex
