I worked at CC for a year and a half and loved every minute of it. You say we had the most expensive prices... same price everywhere people, even as an employee i did my research in other places before I bought at my store. And by the way Best Buys customer service sucks. I spent an hour in there before to see if anybody would wait on me and not one associate.... and we went out of business? Give me a break.

When I worked part time at CC in 97 they would take 50% of my commission before taxes. Explanation was, to make it fair for full time employees. How you ask? The money would go to a retirement fund for full time employees. How that was fair still didn't make any sense to me since full time employees always made more than I ever did before my 50% cut. I know they got rid of it a few years ago but still. I did like the stores, people were helpful, unlike other stores.

I work at CC too atleast for the next 2 months and like I told everyone. Retail is bullshit. I worked the warehouse because fuck sales and fuck managers trying to push shit. Who cares if it cost us our jobs there it's a shitty job anyways you need to get a trade skill like construction, welding or something and do a mans job. Retail stores are for temp jobs to get you on your feet while you learn a trade so if you dont have any work skills then you just threw 4 years of your life away at CC

Everybody At The Store, Every damn customer seemed like Vultures To Me. The Day before the announcement the store had maybe 5 people in it, while today there was black friday numbers.

I don't know about all of you, but I always liked Circuit City. I just saw Yahoo Tech with some commenters bashing the fallen electronics chain. I always had a good experience shopping there. They were the only place where you could get a DivX DVD Player and their CD prices were usually around $10 which was great. The only bad thing I found was when a friend bought a TV online and when he came to pick it up in store they didn't even have it in stock so he had to choose a different one. Farewell.

I work at store 0433, now closing obviously. and I do agree, many ccity workers worked their ass off to keep the numbers up. But schedules did suck, and customers didnt help much. For Example, If i say I will be right with you, fucking wait for me to finish the customer i am helping already! else they get mad and rush the sale and dont get everything they want. hell, we offered 36 months no interrest! ccity shoulda made it. its been a nice time at ccity. soon unemployed THOUSANDS.

Yes, circuit City was a poorly ran business for about two years before this past summer. The layoff which occured before the CEO change was the biggest mistake. The company's sales were amazing over the holidays. Customer spending was actually up! Best buy, not so good. But because of the economy again a product of democratic mistakes and republican failure to fix it! the creditors samsung, panasonic would not give more credit. So, Circuit City had to go.
