@vSWAGGERv unless it has changed since i went in 05 it still located at quantico. if selected the Marine Corps will send you there no matter what your duty station is. The part that will change is what unit you will be assinged to.

@Saburocks101, chances of you becoming a sniper are very low, National Guard WILL NOT send you to any additional training courses like Scout Sniper school unless it's needed. Scout Snipers aren't needed in the national guard, and the State of Iowa pays for you to go to Scout Sniper school not the federal, that's why they don't send you to additional training courses. Best chance of becoming a Sniper is being active in combat and try to find a slot open for one and have all the requirements.

Army Snipers Dominate International Sniper Comp. Marines Came in 6th place. They also let foreigners beat them. If it wasn't for the Army . America wouldn't be in 1st. Ha Ha ha.

no you dont, thousands of Marines in the Corps have glasses or contacts. you dont even need 20/20 to be a sniper, i know ss who wear contacts, even when deployed. the only units you need 20/20 or lasik are the really elite ones like the SEALs

with the bottom of the buttstock where he has it the recoil is much harder to control and often times slips up off the shoulder. Hes not shouldering it how he was trained. Therefore hes shouldering it wrong.
yea but if you know anything about clearing a building or close quarters combat you would know that if you have the stock up against your shoulder you will not be able to move it as quick if he was to see something or get shot at.

The best of the best of Canadian snipers would get spanked by Marine scout snipers, not to mention Green Beret, Rangers, Navy SEAL's, or especially the Army marksmanship unit. Just because some Canuck made a lucky 2600 yard shot (which by the way, is not the world record for longest confirmed kill), does not make Canadian snipers the best.

When my spotter acquired a target he'd say, "Yo, DJ, spin that shitt!" And I'd reply, "Cuttin' and scratchin' are the actions of my game!" And then he'd start off with, "LL Cool J is bad ass...", And then together we'd say, "...HELL!" --at which point I'd pull the trigger. If the target was hit, we'd high-five left-right-left-right, and if the terrain allowed for it, we'd moonwalk out of the area.

Officers can go through any schools that enlisted men can. But, officers cannot be active duty Scout Snipers. If you want to still be special forces, you should do Marine Force Recon, you'll be an officer and be in a combat role.
false. only enlisted marines can be in special forces. the risk is too high for an officer so the marines do not allow it. officers can, however command recon units from a remote operating base

no, the M16a3 guy (spotter) leads the sniper since he has rapid fire capabilities and he''s the more experience ember of the team, the sniper is the mechanic he's the trigger puller while the spotter does all the math

with the bottom of the buttstock where he has it the recoil is much harder to control and often times slips up off the shoulder. Hes not shouldering it how he was trained. Therefore hes shouldering it wrong.

The best of the best of Canadian snipers would get spanked by Marine scout snipers, not to mention Green Beret, Rangers, Navy SEAL's, or especially the Army marksmanship unit. When my spotter acquired a target he'd say, "Yo, DJ, spin that shitt!" And I'd reply, "Cuttin' and scratchin' are the actions of my game!" And then he'd start off with, "LL Cool J is bad ass...", And then together we'd say, "...HELL!" --at which point I'd pull the trigger. If the target was hit, we'd high-five left-right-left-right, and if the terrain allowed for it, we'd moonwalk out of the area.

Officers can go through any schools that enlisted men can. But, officers cannot be active duty Scout Snipers. If you want to still be special forces, you should do Marine Force Recon, you'll be an officer and be in a combat role.
