@mabas21, just a suggestion, you should drive your vechicle around the City of Gary and film all the areas that have had structure fires to let the viewers know the conditions of the City.I know it may take too many resources to do that, but it would put things into a better perspective.Also, do you know how many of the declared arson's actually get prosecuted. Most people have know idea what the GFD has gone through over past couple of years. Their strenght cut in half, multiple station shutdowns and layoffs, no money for equipment and training and a mayor that has to be the world's biggest retard. The mayor of Muncie is a close second.

But the GFD keeps fighting and trying and even dying. My hat goes off to all of them. The people of Gary have no clue just how lucky they are to have the GFD!

@bigbadredsox All points made in this comment are so incredibly true and I agree 100%. It is sad that people have no clue, even FD members are clueless. Most of them have not seen fire in years! I find it amazing the way residents treat the FD along with the city. One third of the fd is being laid off the 1st of the year. Pretty pathetic if you ask me!

@bigbadredsox i have the most respect for gary firefighters, i live in michigan where i get to see my colleages on detroit who either have no trucks showing up or the wrong ones(pickup trucks or vans in some circumstances) and even when a engine gets on scene theres usually no water pressure to supply it anyway, there talking about cutting detroit by a third, i hope for the citizens sake and the firefighters that both cities go in the right direction with public safety

And I am still not impressed with many of the operations that were posted. I am confident that there are some great fireman in Gary, but they didn't make these videos. You have to go in them every now then you know?

@memphise34a Out of all my videos I arrive prior to the fire department 2 or 3 times in 3 years, the city of Gary has been burning like mad since before the 70's and I have lived here 3 years. So am I to blame for all the fires before I was even born? Are all the buffs in Detroit responsible for those fires? This is my point, you don't know what you are talking about.

ohhhh. maybe that was arsen fire. maybe a guy was drunk and ran off the road and slamed on the brakes and got out then lit the house on fire. and the ran into the woods.

I am making an educated guess that it was arson, and the fact that 75% of the fires in Gary are declared arson by investigators helps my opinion.

Good job on all your videos. I hope you do well in selling these. A few years ago one of our guys created a video that sold well and the response from fire departments everywhere was great. This Gary Fire Department is one of the most aggressive anywhere, so there is no bore in any of these clips you have. Stay safe and be careful and to the best for all GFD firefighters.
