Free Jazz trio piano bass drums

Sounds cool, but this is not free jazz, it sounds more like a jam band. They do settle into a tempo at some point. The harmony also settles somewhere, some minor key of sorts. In actual free jazz time and harmony would remain abstract.

This is Misinterpratato - Sean Foran on keys, John Parker on drums... really good stuff... very ambient. I played at a jam with these guys in Brisbane. Sean was a lecturer at QUT, and they are competent muso's. Each of them can play as good as anyone over a standard. Obviously whoever posted the comment about them being shit hasn't explored free jazz before.
