@GyveTurckee so I guess u don't know much about Poce's music, just a tip, he was one of the favs composers of Maestro Segovia, and is one of the most importants among those who composed music for classical guitar, and THIS work(with Ponce's "Variaciones sobre la Folía de España") was one of Segovia's favs.

I did not care for this particular sonata, despite having heard many interpretations (including your PRECIOUS Segovia), until I heard this performance: not because of ignorance of the prolific M.M. I know she plays La Catedral in the orignal (the composer''s), but the sonatina she chooses Segovia's version (who's changed the ending) which I much prefer!

Manuel M. Ponce is one of the greats mexican composers. He was born in Aguascalientes México. I suggest to hear Estrellita (little star) Intermezzo and many others classical pieces of music.

As much as Ana plays the notes 10 out of 10, I'd personally like to see, as she develops, a little more attention to the overall shape of the score i.e. perhaps considering the musical importance of the 'spaces' between the phrases, with more emphasis on the pauses. Also, to quote John Williams, 'the magic of the guitar lies in the dying away of the note', and therefore a note must be given sufficient time to die naturally. The 'gaps' in music mean everything.
