This has become my favorite version of this song... mostly due to those fabulous guitar solos I so miss when I listen to the pink floyd version. (Yep, been a floyd fan since the 70's. Seen them in concert a few times and Roger solo a few.

Roger Waters certainly hired some great guitarists. Van the man needed to add syncopation --- usually that is his strong suit. Too mechanical in his vocals.  Roger was fantastic and the band was strong.

I am a huge Wall fan. It came out when i was a senior in HS in '79. I have listened to this album well over a couple hundred times in the past 30+ yrs in its entirty. Their is nothing like the original that is for sure. That being said this version is amazing. Van nailed the vocals and the full orchestra just makes this special. Snowy White would make David proud. Most dont know but Snowy White has been playing this since 79 i believe. This is outstanding.
