Not endangered? 30+ sharks seen at an aggregation site in no way shows that any species is back to normal levels and is free from extinction threats. Anyone who claims such a thing is an idiot with a hidden agenda.
hey mate telling him that we all have to work together is fine but telling him his video dont mean shit is outrageous.that video is exactly what we should all be doing documenting how many where and when what time etc thats the kind of docs that help decide on world numbers. so maybe he isnt helping in your eyes but thats your say
Grey Nurse are highly endangered, theyhave the lowest reproductive rate of any shark and makes it more susceptible to external pressures that increase mortality.habitat sites are often favoured fishing sites, divers have observed a large number of the sharks with hooks and lines in their mouths. Some survive the injuries they sustain from fishing gear, but many don't. Shark nets and habitat destruction add further presure
Ok. non-fisherman here. But i am curious. why do we need proof gns are not endangered. Do people want to hunt them again or is it just because they are still on the list?
hey timmy have any tips for tacking coral trout as me and the newy crew will be doing a virgin run at swaines on the mv booby bird in early may. and any over tips would be hugly appreciated ie gear and spares
is the video at blackrock spent 2 days there a little over a month ago and counted at least 35 gns with out leaving the northen side.maybe they will have to convince the public that the red mowie is in danger lol.
no it wasn't at BR but I have seen a few around that area in the past. it was a bit further south down the coast...i think spearos are more in dangered these days than the GNS LOL
Good one Timmy. One dive at Green Island at Souh West Rocks a week or two ago and we counted 41 GNS. There were a lot more but we had to go up for air. :D True.

i cant see how i helps in anyway other than to try to stir the pot.
size of sharks?, Sex of sharks? any form of markings? location? ect.
the only proof here is that youtube is a great place to dribble sh,t back and forth.

no offence though, posting a video of a dozen or so sharks and saying proof gns are not endangered don't mean shit.
saying greens are a joke (keep spearfishing alive) means shit.
that is the mentality that will destroy the sport. Everyone needs to work together greens fishermen scuba and spearos.
