Wow. This is originally from a PBS show in Chicago called Soundstage. It was a 1 hour televised concert headlined by Arlo Guthrie. Hoyt Axton and Steve Goodman also appeared. I taped it on a portable tape recorder from the TV when it first aired, and am delighted to hear this version again after all these years! I prefer it to his album version for its simplicity - his exquisite guitar playing and sensitive vocal. I hope some day it's put out in HQ audio. For now this is really really nice!

Steve recorded it beautifully on his 1st 1971 self-titled album. He was an incredible musician and songwriter, whose music passes the test of time. Glad you like this one, hope you'll check it out on the cd.
