  • Thanks for the great video! So for a two amp setup with the looper output going to amp two, presumably using head output 1, do you hear your guitar in the master amp while creating a loop, and then when you close the loop the looper sound goes to amp two while you can continue to play through amp one? Cheers, James

  • way overkill is correct!

  • Sweet gnarls

  • @abergreg how to set up 2 amps through an a/b/y selector switch and where should i put it on my pedalboard. i need to know fast. i have a gig in 2 days and i need to set up this system. can any one please help me

  • @DReidGuitars as the last pedal before going to your amps. You may get ground hum though.

  • Ok, so these are EXACTLY the two amps I'm attempting to decide between. PLEASE tell me which you prefer and which is better at what (obvious things like the effect processing of the Switchblade aside). Can the Switchblade get a heavy sound anywhere near the Mesa? I've heard great clips of the Mesa but can't find any of the Switchblade at a heavy setting. I play in a band that does rock from Van-Halen to Shinedown. Which amp would you suggest. Your opinion is very appreciated, thanks.

  • @Horhayj Well...the switchblade is an all around better amp since it is so versatile, excellent cleans and lighter gain. The Mesa was much better with heavier stuff though. Mesa Ch 1 & 2 didn't like at all. H&K gets heavy but not nearly as nice as the heavy mesa tone. If u mostly play distorted, then the mesa for sure, lot's of tones then the H&K. I have sold the Mesa and never use the H&K anymore, switched totally to axefx ultra and never happier.

  • I love how les paul sustain goes on and on and on and.......,,:)

  • awesome setup man and classic pink floyd

  • That dosnt work CAN you explain me wha input to what output because nothin work....my guitar is un thé ada input and o havé a câble to the output a and that hors to m'y power amp but the Hz i dont know where i pût thé câble on effect loop or L R really dont know

  • hi just have a question i see your rack and just want to know i have a ada mp1 tube preamp and a boos gx700 and i want to use the boos as effect whit my ada but i dont know how to plug them whit my power amp (marshall jcm2000 dsl 100w) thnks

  • @yansdgr put the gx700 in the effects line of the mp1 and then the outs of the mp1 into the power amp.

  • Much simpler setup: Multi effects, headrush, single amp. the most basic setup capable of this would be a multifx with a built in looper (like boss me25) straight into an amp.

  • @abergreg sure...i was doing that before, but if you want 2 different tones for the looped section and the the second part, you need 2 amps.

  • @99voltsdotcom no you dont, put the looper in the effects loop

  • i gots a music rising t-shirt...didnt kno someone made a custom guitar lol

  • that was sooo good. thank you for making this.

  • @failureobject thank you for the nice comment!

  • Incredible video, very tasteful improv with a classic song. I am looking to pick up a Roadster 2x12 combo and a rack that can accomodate it....do you recall what model rack case you have?

  • @flukenukeem thanks. its a custom one i had built by a company i found on ebay. i forget their name though.

  • so all you need to simply play your loops in one amp, and the leas in a second is your loop pedal, the rg16, midi foot switch and 2 amps?

  • actually, all you would need is an a/b box to switch between amps. the rg16 just allows me to easily jump between different presets and amps using multiple effects units and the amps with 1 click. the rg16 is unecessary if you have 1 amp and 1 effects unit.

  • hay bro ur killer by the way>but i just got the time machine delay i would like to know if should run the delay through the send and ret, would that work what is the diffrence? the little amp i use is tech21. im not even close to ur stuff

  • thanks! i would put it in the send and return for sure. if you go in the amp input, it would apply whatever gain or distortion you have on the guitar signal to the echo itself...you want a "clean" echo of whatever tone is going through the amp. does that make sense how i explained it? time based effects should usually be in the amps line in and out.

  • thatnks

  • sounds like David Gilmour

  • thanks! i LOVE his playing. it's a floyd tune and this was my lame attempt at his feel.

  • nah dude that was rad. what Pink Floyd song was that, i thought i knew their entire catalog lol... not actually

  • thanks. it's the intro to breath from dsotm and then me just wanking my own stuff over that loop.

  • what?!?! dark side of the mood is like my second favorite album of all time, how did i not pick that up

  • I love your guitar. A friend of mine the same one in a black with yellow trim... Those guitars play like much more expensive guitars.

  • i fell in love at first sight and had to have it. it totally looks like jimmy pages old les paul. it has weathering from the factory so it looks like an old guitar. i usually dont care for that but this guitar is just amazing looking and playing. this is the esp version (the more expensive one.) you can get the less expensive ltd's for about $800.

  • Heeey dudde!, reaally really great setup maan, it sounds sweet. I wanna look at getting some rack effects soon. I was interested in the Gmajor, first of all would you recommend one? for effects like chorus, and flanger?. second, the ground control your using, i want to be able to set it up to control, the rack and effects put through the front of the amp. caan i do that? also can you use it to change you amp channel all at once aswell? sorry forr long questions, but ide apprichate help :) thanks

  • thanks. highly recommend all tc stuff..the best in my opinion. that said, i'm not crazy about the chorus and flanging in either tc unit i have. i almost never use either so its no prob for me. the ground control is only a midi board, you need a switcher like the rg16 in this vid to control pedals, rack units and amp channel switching. rg16 is GREAt for that and their cust service is top notch. switcher are complicated to set up though.

  • Yeeeah man! they look awesome!, im quite confused at the moment in which way to go, i have quite a few stom boxes, but i wanna decide weather racks the way to go or to expand what i have. I wanted a chorus and flange next, although i could get something which does a lot more :/ Thanks for your help though man :) much apprichiated. keep rocking :)!

  • killer setup man lower your guitar when you play lol

  • i love your set up, honest to god, and your collection as well show-able.

I respect how much of a hobbyist you may be, but i don't understand the use of those expensive racks. But what do i know.

  • thanks. like everyone i'm always chasing the elusive perfect tone. all this stuff helps me get closer to that goal. I've always had some sort of rack effects in my rig and mainly wanted to see what it was like to have a "big boy" rack setup. Moving everything around is a pain in the ass though...i may just get an axefx and sell everything (except for the h&k amp..I'll never get rid of that amazing amp.)

  • @99voltsdotcom So you would sell the boogie? What are your thoughts on it?

    Nice playing by the way...

  • yeah...i actually have the boogie on craigslist now, and will probably put it on ebay if i don't have any luck on craigslist. it's a great amp but the heavy distortion did not get as saturated as i like. it's heavy but a clear heavy, i prefer some mush. i love petrucci's and mark tremonti's tone so i wanted to try a boogie at least once in my life.

  • So what's the next purchase going to be? Are you sticking with the H&K? If so, why?

  • Mui bueno !!

  • Gracias!

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • ESP ECLIPSE-II AHB. the color reminds me of pages les paul and it plays GREAT..

  • i can defnitly hear pink floyd out of this^^

i like how the slide-guitar is imitatet.

i don have very much equipment so i actualy play a loop and record it on my computer first and then jam with myself^^

  • thanks. did the fake slide with a volume pedal.

  • nice camera, nice impro, nice stuff!!!

  • thanks! the canon is an amazing camera. you should see the uncompressed 1080 video...really great quality.

  • Great Improv mate. Lovely tones and ability!

  • thank you. i love jamming over that progression. can't go wrong with E to A.

  • i've got the same metronome lol

    love it

  • yep...great little cheapo that does the job perfectly.

  • I feel identified.. I belive that I feel something very similar when I'm playing my guitar.. Thank you!

Oh yeah, the tone is amazing.. Great and killer sound!!!!

  • thank you!
