I am so sorry for your loss. I know the feeling. I lost my little kitty Echo to cancer last FEB after having her for 10 years. She was my baby and I still miss her! I now have another one named Naja who is a year old and she is a little joy. She plays with my other cats Pumpkin, Poki, and Carissa.

My golden Sasha just died on May 14th 2010. She died also at 8years old. Hers was from cancer. It was really fast and unexpected. Its comforting to see this video showing that other people loved their golden as much as I did and probably went through the same pain that I am going through right now so i know I'm not alone.

Our Golden left us on Aug. 14- 2007 This brings both memories and sorrow. We know how much you must of loved Leo, Goldens are very special They leave us a memory love and joy that last a life time. How blessed we are to have known them.

Now in my life i have another Golden retriever...he is white...he is my new little angel...i can't live without dogs...especially without a golden boy...His name is Ikarus...but Leo is and will be always in my heart...
@patmccloskey I think it may help you. My dog Kobey was a boxer cross golden retriever, and was put down about 2 months ago. She was only 5 but she gave us all so much happiness, and we loved her. Dogs aren't just pets, they are also members of your family...as any dog owner knows. Everyone adored her, even those who dislike dogs or are scared of them. she was truelly special.

was a case very strange ... after a year of treatment and after contacting the best veterinarians (we also asked for help to university) no one has yet understood the true cause of death...

I'm so sorry about leo. I know how you feel. My Aunts dog,Abby, passed away while she was having bladder surgery. She had Cancer. She's not even my dog, but I miss her so much. She died young, she was only ten. She's been with me ever since I was a baby. I faintly remember her gently licking my face. So, Rest in Peace Leo. And Abby. I'm sos so so so sorry :(

I have A Golden Retriver named Katie. She'll be 4 on the 16th of this month. Goldens are such wonderful dogs. Im dreading the day when Katies time comes. Im going to cherish every moment with her. But really Im so sorry for your lose. He looked like he was a great dog.

I lost my golden, Abigail, 6 months ago and I still cry because I miss her so much. She was my best friend. We had her for 11 years and it just wasn't long enough. Goldens are the sweetest dogs in the world.

My golden is dying. Tomorrow will probably be the last time I'm with her. She is 16 and has led a great life. Thanks so much for you video. I'll admit I cried the whole time watching it because its so true. Companion until the very end.

My heart goes out to you...I lost my Golden 8-8-08 and my life will never be the same. I have since gotten another but don't think I will have the same bond with her. I think we were soulmates like some people. I honestly look forward to the day I can join her in heaven. You were lucky to have had her so long. Mine was 2 months short of turning 11 The time goes so fast they really have short lives and we need to treasure every moment with them.

I had to put my beloved "mutt", better known as Kelsey (my best girlfriend) in May and my heart aches for her presence everyday. I still am blessed to have my 10 year old Golden and I just hugged him in honor of Leo and other beloved Goldens in our lives.

i know how u feel. except my old dog Star didnt die from old age, Star was only 2. i loved him. i wouldve let myself be beat then let Star get killed by my crazy dad. i went to school, kissing my golden named Star on his lil muzzle and runnin to bus. the min' i came home, i was ran to see Star. i yell.. Star Star im home! till i saw dad screamin.. dont ever do tht again u beast! i scream in horror. my dad lookd at me, saw tears fall and stoppd. but it was to late. :.( i love u star. miss u! rip.

I am hoping I am misunderstanding your posting, but I have to ask if your dad killed your Star as the posting seems to say. I guess I'm praying I'm wrong. If such a crime was committed I pray your dad pays the price with authorities. There are animal cruelty laws and if a "person" would kill an innocent animal I worry for your safety. Please seek help. he did go to jail. 2 weeks. and yea hes went over rainbow bridge, into doggy heaven n meetn new friends, frlicking, having a good time. and when i die, ill see him. theyll bring him to me. and we'll spend the whole rest of our heaven time together. ill see him, dont worry. :) but of course, ill miss him, i love him and i wont ever be able to replace him. im gettin a baby bengal (u know wut those are?) for christmas. but it wont be the same. :(((((((

Our Golden left us on Aug. 14- 2007 This brings both memories and sorrow. We know how much you must of loved Leo, Goldens are very special They leave us a memory love and joy that last a life time. How blessed we are to have known them.

@patmccloskey I think it may help you. My dog Kobey was a boxer cross golden retriever, and was put down about 2 months ago. She was only 5 but she gave us all so much happiness, and we loved her. Dogs aren't just pets, they are also members of your family...as any dog owner knows. Everyone adored her, even those who dislike dogs or are scared of them. she was truelly special.

@040wATTcLUb (continued) Because the pain of losing her was so intense (and 2 months later, I still cry about her on a weekly basis in the privacy of my own room lol), the house seemed so empty, and our family missed having a dog to take for walks and fuss etc etc, we went and got a new puppy- a golden retriever we called Lexi.
Lexi's helped with the pain a LOT.

Obviously what everyone needs and how everyone copes is different (some people couldnt possibly imagine getting another dog, and others just NEED a companion to love again, as they have to accept that they cant bring their pet back) but from my own experience of feeling those emotions, I would definetly say yes.

was a case very strange ... after a year of treatment and after contacting the best veterinarians (we also asked for help to university) no one has yet understood the true cause of death...

I'm so sorry about leo. I know how you feel. My Aunts dog,Abby, passed away while she was having bladder surgery. She had Cancer. She's not even my dog, but I miss her so much. She died young, she was only ten. She's been with me ever since I was a baby. I faintly remember her gently licking my face. So, Rest in Peace Leo. And Abby. I'm sos so so so sorry :(

My Golden Retriever Alfie passed away earlier this week. He was turning 11 yrs old next wednesday and I'm finding it so hard to cope without him as we only lost our other retriever, Rosie last March. I miss them both so, so, SO much.

Pets are members of the family and it's so very hard when one loses a dog like Leo. I'm so sorry for your loss. Just remember that Leo died knowing that he was very much loved. You have all those beautiful memories of him....he will never be dead as long as you remember him.
