  • Where can I find one of those screw drivers?.

  • i dropped my iphone and the back side is cracked. is that a simple fix by replacing the back?

  • Thanks

  • Thank you very much!! (: I needed to replace my vibrate switch because it was sort of pushed inside somehow But I tightned the screws. Again Thank you very much (:

  • my screen was just black and my phone didnt work. i brought a screen of ebay and followed this vid now im back in action! i do have a screw left over though lol

  • When u took the screen off u said it was adhesed, do u not have to glue the new 1 back then?

  • Fuck it I'll just keep a shattered screen this looks too hard

  • If you would watch this video backwards it would look like the perfectly working iPhone screen was broken during disassembly! :P Just kidding! Nice video ;)

  • I followed all the steps correctly, but now after putting my iphone back together it rarely ever gets 3 bars of service, and i have hardly any service where i was fine before.. any ideas what could have happened?

  • my home button has recently started to suck shit, i ahve to press it super hard for it to work can you help me out please!!!

  • @francky101 you'll have to disassemble the iphone and clean the are underneath the home button as there may be alot of dust and grease there

  • @spartanZ9774 i went online and it could be a broken plastic plate behind the button could that be possible??

  • thanks that was really helpful

  • excellent video sir

  • will doing this void my warranty??

  • @GreatWHITERANGER Of course

  • @GreatWHITERANGER Yes, this will void your warranty unless you find an OEM screen

  • you forget to include camera removal

  • This video was a big help. The walk-thru is very easy to understand and the re-assembly part of the video was worth gold. Thanks for spreading your knowledge to the people! Only one bad thing: there was missing a part with the removal of the camera.

  • hi ,,,if i buy iphone 4 lcd (serpratley) and digitizer (d.seretley) ...can i replace my old with thses serprated parts??

  • @686sami There is a popular video on youtube proving that it can't be done. That was after i bought just the digitizer.. so i bought the set and replaced my cracked screen with that. Afterwards I checked if i could separate my cracked digitizer from the lcd, and this happened fairly easy. Therefore i think there are some minor variations in your iPhone depending when you bought it and who Apples spare-part supplier was at that time. I would go the safe way and buy digitizer+LCD.

  • Invaluable resource

  • I have an iPhone 4 but the hole for the sim card is on the top and there is no tray that pops out. What do I do?

    Thanks.

  • @PuppyPuppyPup13 You have a Verizon iPhone 4, and I hope that you didn't attempt to place a paperclip into that hole as it is a secondary microphone. You do not need to worry about the SIM tray step as there is no sim in the Verizon iPhone 4. Just proceed from there.

  • @ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy Hey, my iPhone doesn't respond to anything right now. Woke up and it's not powering on or anything. My lock button is busted so power cycling it is a no go. This has happened before, and I took it to the apple store, was in and out in 10 mins with a working phone. The lady said she pulled it apart and said the connection to the battery or something was loose. It was free the first time, but now ill be charged, so i was wondering if it was an easy fix to do myself.

  • Hi, do you do a complete bezel/mid-frame replacement video? Thanks

  • thank u please make more videos about iphone

  • Thanx for the help bro!

  • thanks a lot for the great instrctions and god bless, fixed my iphone for 30 bucks only .

  • Could someone link a good site to buy a replacement LCD & Digitizer in the UK?

  • @leblobbb Have you tried eBay?

  • i have buyed a new display for my iphone 4s, can i repair that with this tutorial or have the iphone 4s other screws?

  • the 3g was waaay easier than the 4 lmfaoo

  • Nice, It helps alot!

  • The earpiece grill omission was bad... very bad!

  • @23Huevosrancheros same problem here. Phone can power on and is detected by iTunes, but display is blank. I checked the connections again so my assumption is the digitizer got damaged.

  • @sixdoubledeuce Indeed - replaced the screen & digitizer ($30 off eBay) and now the phone works perfectly.

  • @sixdoubledeuce why did u reply to urself?

  • Thanks a lot

  • This is great video, I repaired my phone with the help of this.

  • Perfect. Thank you!

  • broke my phone and bought a new screen... put it all together watching a different video and had extra parts... watched this video and within 10 minutes i had it together all correctly... guide is easy 10/10 was very clear and straight forward thanks so much for the help

  • 1 1/2 hour, no frustration at all, very good guide! :)

Had to remove some of the shattered glass from the glue on the iPhones frame. Used contact-cleaner and cotton swabs to remove the old glass from the glue.

  • I replaced the screen but All I get is the backlight no display the phone works but everything is black any idea what it could be?

  • Great video. I agree at 8:01 that you want to check the cable goes all the way through. The easiest way to test this is make sure both of the longer cables are even. If the long skinny cable is shorter, it got pinched and you'll need to fix this.

  • hello, i did my iphone exactly like this, but after Reassembly it, my iphone didn't charge!!

could you please tell me what happened?

  • @lollisious please, if anyone can answer me, it is too important for me!!

  • @lollisious You fucked up, that's what happend!

  • thanks you very much helped a lot.

  • thank you sooooo much this video helped out a lot it took a while and a lot of frustration lol but got it done and only lost one screw it was the one that held the battery clamp down but its all good. thank you again.

  • Best tear-down and rebuild of iPhone 4 on YouTube. I had no prior experience. This video guided me through the process like a champ. Use an ice cube tray for those screws. Order the iPhone tools also. I bought an OEM screen and it fit perfect

  • Wow this is by far the best tear down and reassemble video for the iPhone 4 I have found and it is now my bible for when I make repairs.... I keep the video up and work my way through with the video guiding me like lighthouse on the lake lol.... Great Job with the Video guys, DEFINATELY DJ Snazzy Jeff lol..

  • You forgot to show how to put the vibrating motor back in

  • @butttoaste1 I assume it should be done before snapping down the 3 cables on the top?

  • what tool did you use to remove the back plate on the iphone

  • k my iphones sim card is stuck inside and wont come out can you please make a vid of how to get it out thx

  • tnxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • i can't get the digitizer logic board cable to go in. its not long enough and it gets pushed down by the others...... HELP ME!!

  • Thanks so easy! I got it right!

  • you are awesome, THANKS!!

  • Is the verizon and the at&t version of the iphone 4 the same on the inside?

  • Holy Smokes Id Be Soo Scared To Do This . :|

  • Is the iPhone 4 retina display compatible with the iPhone 3GS display?

  • How do i know if the LCD and the glass are fused? i have the Sprint iphone

    .

  • We would like to announce our new phone. We call it... The iScrewz.. ;) thanks for the video!

  • Our latest iPhone 4S disassembly video is up! Check the link in the description!

  • @ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy Nice upload.....Well done

  • lol at some points you can hear the tutorial he is watching

  • Look's great but I don't know if I'd go through all of that for a white home button

  • can i just buy the screen replacement or does it need to have the digitizer too? cuz my screen still shows images its just spider cracked to total shit brah?

  • in total there are how many screws? one million???

  • Now the camera doesn't work any solutions?

  • is this an AT&T?

  • @stewbot47000 yes

  • but will it blend?

  • you sir have balls. id never do this with my iphone

  • To see 'what size screws go where' just search for 'iphone 4 Screw Size Chart' and choose the one with my channel name. Its in 1080p so you can see it very clearly. It was scanned at 600dpi and I used Digital Callipers to measure each screw as I took them out, I also double checked the measurements against another iPhone 4 so it should be good reliable info...

Thumbs up/like to keep this at the top..

  • thanks man

  • dude, you totally missed both the antenna cable and the vibrator!

  • There are much better videos on installation. I should have read the comments before using this to install my new screen/digitizer. A key part was left out on removing the camera. It really screwed up my installation. I would NOT recommend this tutorial. PLEASE RE-SHOOT THIS VIDEO SO OTHER PEOPLE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! Thanks

  • Thanks for all the info. This just saved my wife from a second new iPhone in 6 months. I think I'll take hers away now and let her keep her AT&T gophone ($9.99 at BestBuy). It hurts a lot less when those kind of phones get trashed.

Definitely listen to what he says about feeding the LCD/Digitizer cables. I pinched mine and had to reassemble.

  • Very good video, although there were some irregularities with the reassembly. Managed to replace my screen fine thanks to this!

  • I think brain surgery may be easier

  • Great video, i watched it a few times while taking notes and making myself a "templte" for where all the parts and screws go. Took about 1.5 hours but everything came back online and worked perfectly. Note: the screws that hold in the actual screen can take a long time because the tool kit i got had a magnatized driver and the washers kept flipping around the screws lol. Anyways awesome thanks...

  • what the fuck... i was going to think about replacing mine as it's pretty battered. but i don't think i'll bother! Haha!

  • Great video BUT, you should have included the removal of the camera.. The reason i screwed up was because of that very step..

  • Awsome guide - the best ive seen actually, really simple to follow steps, very descriptive. Good job! You people who cant do it are obviously doing something wrong. Take no shortcuts, follow exactly what this guy says and its guaranteed your iphone screen will be fresh, back up and running in no time.

  • oh crap u forgot to mention about plugging the antenna!!

  • Hands down the best disassembly and reassembly video on YouTube. Props man.

  • cant thank you enough! best video out......good quality I would be lost without this !

  • I just used this to put my wife's phone back together!!! Thanks!!!!!

  • Thnx!! for the instrucción

  • Text (txtme iPhone) To (368638) to get a iPhone 4s! Test and Keep.

  • just want to thank you for your awesome tutorial! just used it and worked 100% thanks

  • great video my friend, the few mised steps were no problem, actually was kind a obvious putting it back together. took me like 2 hours but worked !!!!

  • i hate it when the fucking ad freezes and then you cant watch the video

  • Hey Quinn! I really like your videos. I have a question, answer it please if you have any time for me. I want to buy a gold plated iphone 4 side bezel, and im scared about installing it. I dont have any good places to do it in my city, so I will have to do it on my own. Do you have any instructions for that? Is it possible to do? I used to change RAM on notebooks but i thing its easy comparing to the subject..

    Thanks!

  • ok, the only problem i saw was you failed to show how to remove the camera, and in re-assembly, you failed to plug the speaker diode back in, and also the vibrating part. other than that, you helped me along perfectly. i cant thank you enough. saved me over 200.00 from apple.

  • Thanks a million for the video. A few things - you failed to mention what to do with the camera, and you also failed to instruct to re-attach the 'speaker power supply', which I believe is actually the antenna?

  • Jeeze, took me 3 hours but finally got it and everything works perfectly. Thank you!

  • First point, thanks for the video. It was thorough, informative, and I made it through the repair. Second, (for those planning on attempting it) make sure you have plenty of light (planes should be trying to land on your bench), the right tools, and most importantly...PATIENCE! The screws are ridiculously TINY! I have magnetic screwdrivers, but the screws are so small, it's near impossible. If I had the choice again, I'd spend the money to have it done.

  • 7:40 your face

  • You forgot to mention the camera bruv.

  • Will changing this also fix the touch screen if it's not working?

  • Thank you very much !!! I repaired my Iphone 4 Thanks to you !!

  • Is it normal that after changing the screen, my battery drains mcuh faster. I used to last 1 day with normal usage besore... and now... its like 4-5h.. HELP please if you know how could I fix this problem!

  • Awesome video, thanks so much for helping me fix my busted Iphone!

  • Thanks .. This help a lot. I did this with no problems.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Sorted! Nice vid'. Well explained. I now have a nice new phone.

  • thank you this video was a big help for me. but you don't cover returning the vibration motor in the reassambling part

  • thumbs up if you just fucked up your phone using a knife instead of a screwdriver :D

  • wow very well made video. I'm sure you have saved people hundreds of dollars with this video thanks.

  • Good video. I just finished replacing my screen and all went well untill I found out that the touch screen isnt working. Do you have any Ideas before I tear it apart again? Thanks

  • I just do what you did to change the iPhone 4 screen and every thing is OK but now (No Service) and I can't use the phone :(

Can you help me to fix it please

  • You didnt show when you removed the camera!

  • Thanks for this video, really helped me with replacing my broken screen!

  • I put mine all together and everything and it worked perfectly for a day, but now i have no service issues. does anybody know what that could be?? i tried resetting and reseating the simm card

  • @d28m im having the same issue whats happened?

  • hmm makes me wonder if you take off that white dot when you first get you phone then if you do drop you phone in the water then stick the dot back on there and tak it back to apple

  • It helpt me a lot!!!! Thank you

  • Great step by step instruction here. Thanks a heap, worked a treat!!!

  • You forgot the step to put the vibrating motor back...

  • Doesn't come with bracket to screw back in. ( like shown) you have to take that apart. Also doesn't come with dust protection in earpiece. Make it look so easy. Show what you really get when you order cuz it's not what I got.

  • I am going to my Iphone the same way that you did but is it hard to replace the home button. I like the two color scheme.

  • OMG! this helped so much! Thanks for posting it!

  • I can't get the longest screw (the teal one) of the motherboard to reach the thread. Any trouble shooting tips? The motherboard is now raised just enough so that i cannot get my cover back on. Please help!!

  • Brilliant walk-through! made it very easy to replace my pop's broken screen. Cheers!!

  • Can i skip the step on 10:59 for small back plate with 5 screws?? and on 5:24 the screw under the white dot.what is the one on the left side of it it also has white dot on it???and will i need to romove that too in order to replace the screen?

  • I replaced the screen and everything went well! I turned the phone on and it picked up service, and calls but I am unable to unlock the phone! Any ideas?

  • Hi, i followed your guide and everything went well BUT now i can hear the music from the player, but no ringtones or sms tone! any ideas whats up? please

    Lee

  • NVM on the signal- found the intructions on the silver diode, worked like a charm.

  • Help! all went well but signal is low or nonexisitant now. 1/2 bar or no bar, what did I do wrong?

  • @MyLastFatSummer Never mind- found the instructions about the diode. Worked great. Lifesaver.

  • Put one together the. The signal bar dropped down, Now what. New digitizer new LCD.

  • DAMN! i would be sooo afraid of disassambling this phone....

but you did a great job, i've always wanted to see the inside of an iPhone 4...

  • nightmare

    but thanks

  • Jesus christ this is an extensive procedure. >.>

  • at 4:15 i broke that cable, how do i find a replacement?

  • you have to buy all the speaker assembly

  • @ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy

Hi thanks for the guide I've managed to repair my phone thanks to you. I have one problem though, my ear piece speaker seems muffled now and its difficult to hear people, any ideas as to to what I've done wrong?

I've got a dead pixel in the new screen, i've ordered a new one so i'll have to take it apart again anyway.

    Thanks again buddy

  • i broke the far left cable by accident :( so depressed omg

  • I had to change the hard drive of my previous iMac... And I though that was tricky... omg....

  • lol you suck, white back, black front and white home button? wtf

  • when you pur ur phone back together just incase, cause it took stuff all to do, wen he shows the screws with the colour round them watch the whole bit of the video i cracked the screen with a screw and barely screwed it in

  • when you pur ur phone back together just incase, cause it took stuff all to do, wen he shows the screws with the colour round them watch the whole bit of the video i cracked the screen with a screw and barely screwed it in

  • This was a wonderful video. Thanks much for both the disassembly and reassembly

  • how did you learn this its great

  • it worked for me THANKS a million...i droped my phone in water i took it apart ad let it dry...everything works but the camera can you help out with that???

  • Is that with the LED screen. What if you you just have the glass for the Iphone 4, is there another step?

  • @2brittc Unfortunately, in iPhone 4, the digitizer (glass) and LED are fused together and cannot be pulled apart like previous generations. So if you break the front glass, you have to replace the whole retina display. :(
