There's a short wrong note in the orchestra at 4.06 on the syllable "kennt" of the word "erkennt" it is only held for a short time before it is corrected. Can't work out which instrument. It's a C# in the diminished chord DFG#

I am really annoyed at how easily people criticize performers ... whether it's weight, or one "incorrect" word in the libretto ... give me a break: It must be miserable to listen to music when you are expecting perfection, instead of looking for art.

@mariamlaubach I did not criticize, I simply pointed out the error, which can easily happen and has happened on occasions. Nobody is perfect and the experienced performer (as is Botha) knows how to cover it, even by simply ignoring it and carrying on ;)

Beautiful singing, perfect pronunciation and diction. What a shame the poor guy could never be a plausible Lohengrin on stage unless he joined WW for at least a year.

At 3:54, he made a mistake in the libretto. He says "erkennt" (which is two lines below) instead of "enthullt"

Sauber gesungen und im gutem Deutsch gesungen! Man versteht jedes Wort. Da ist nichts "kitschy". Sein Gewicht ist unwichtig, als Sänger fantastisch.

Noice! He is a man mountain....I sang in a choir behind him in South Africa about 12 to 13 years ago...I'm 6"1" and he was at least a half head taller than me and about three times as wide. Huge.
