  • Oopss, sorry i didn't see the whole video before posting... I thought you were using a dslr :/

  • You could have bought some sort of smal device that mounts onto the camera usually to offer a pc sync output for old flash. You can find them retty cheap on ebay, but make sure that hot shoe mount on the top of that box" does not have all those pins. You have to find one with just the metal "frame" and one contact If you want i can send you a link via PM

  • hey great video, pitty it didnt work out, do you however think that your hack would work for what im doing? i want to shoot events with my 580exii in ettl on the hot shoe and use my 6x 603's to trigger my other flashes ie run one hacked 603 through the pc sync port. there is no way to trigger the 603 unless its on the hot shoe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • @DestonProductions After contacting ATG, I got the answer for that.

Get this "Kalt PC to Hot Shoe Adapter with Connecting Cord"

Camera should have PC Sync Socket. Cheap cameras won't have that.

Place your 580EX II on hotshoe

Place RF-603 on Kalt & plug cable to camera PC Sync Socket.

A cheap off camera flip bracket works great for RF-603.

I like using ATG AK1 Un-Tethered Systems instead your ways.

  • @angelisone thanks for the reply, i will check that out

  • the trigger you have is meant for Canon series

  • it's very very nice, thank you
