Bralw is all right but te only flaws that bugs me are (besides the crappy online mode) its the removal of Chars like Mewtwo, Pichu, Dr.Mario, i mean who dont like to control Mewtwo and his Phyquic powers and stuff like that.

also Captain Falcon and Mario feels weaker in this vertion

I....LOVE....Brawl. I have it and I'm blessed to have it. The story mode is tedious (I think this because I normally don't play story modes.), and after playing it 12 times, I can beat classic mode like it's nothing (at least on easy mode), but the multiplayer is fun, even when you're playing by yourself. It's so satisfying to smash your characters in the face.

And, being a Sonic fanatic, the addition of the high-speed hedgehog is icing on the cake.

Brawl is def. the best. sure Melee took a big step foward but come on brawl has way more to offer then melee and has a slightly better play style. The only thing i dislike is the tripping but thats it. And i feel more challenged in this game then melee...the only CPU opponent i feared in that game was Ganondorf. It just seemed like they walked right into everything unlike brawl where they actually block

This game has a ton of problems. It's not a perfect 10/10 game, but it was fun. Some of the problems I have with the game are the clone characters, the final boss in story mode is very cheap, the online lag, some of the character's final smashes were horrible, and that the game just isn't fun playing by yourself. I would recommend this game to someone that has a little sibling, child, or friend that they can play it with, but otherwise, this is a pass.

ok, it's been 2.5 years since Brawl was released and as a smash fan, I can honestly say that Brawl is NOT as good as Melee. Aesthetics aside, Brawl's gameplay, while not bad, is flawed competitively as the roster is unbalanced. The absence of hitstun also drags combos down, leaving most characters with only defensive options against the likes of Metaknight. Modes like char. specific target test, race to the finish, etc. are gone. What Melee offered was just more solid and polished than Brawl

I thought the story mode was very gratitious and gets forces you to play it alot to unlock everyone and it just isn't as fun as just fighting. Also the story mode plays like a fanfiction, it's monsters bare a weird familarity with heartless espescially how they enter and exit and area, And the enviroment felt more like the mario characters were shoved into a final fantasy setting espescially what with the bad guy was and that giant ship gannon commanded.

Also, NO GAME IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I don't think I have seen a game with a super-simple and worthwhile control scheme, flawless graphics, 'perfect' gameplay, and an 'awesome' looking cover art. The reason this game is a 9/10 is because of

A: the online play: Chris said that it was very laggy and unless you have the other persons friend code its not worth playing.

B: the story: Chris also mentioned that in the game story wise that it was very cut and paste and i have to agree it could be better. these are the reasons i think the game got a 9/10 instead of a 10/10. People stop criticizing the truth. (P.S. it deserved its rating)

melee was a 10/10 for its time..this game would be a 10/10 if online wasn't so important these days. They messed up the online mode, didn't give it any attention, and that's why people aren't rating it 10/10. As a game to play with your friends, though, this game is a 10/10. Smash bros will never be a single player game, either, so I don't see why the story mode(which isn't bad) is dragging the rating down..

i dont understand why people say melee was faster paced. in my experience of both, they're both pretty much the same. all i can think of is that melee sounds more fast, since, you know, it just rolls off the tongue. and hell, the adventure mode was the best improvement. it's hard to explain but, the cutscenes and gameplay were godly overall.

It's funny how at the end you say you have complete control over your character because that's the one issue I have with this game- you really don't. I'm not the only one who has experienced this, but there are times where items will appear randomly in favor of one person and that sometimes the controls misread at the most inopportune of times. These random situations really suck, especially when otherwise Brawl has the best gameplay of the 3. I gave this a 9.4 on my reader review at IGN.

Wii online play features NO way to communicate. No voice features, voice chat, or even generic messages u can send while in game. Its meant as a way to protect the younger users but it is seen as more of a problem by everyone but the parents (the ones that care). You'll miss it, but its nothing too bad.
