Die Kaschgai oder auch Ghaschghai (pers. ‏قشقایی‎ Qaşqay) sind ein Stammesverband und ein turksprachiges Volk im Süden des Iran. Sie sind zum größten Teil Nachkommen von turkmenischen Nomaden, die einst aus Zentralasien nach Persien zogen. Auch wenn Vermischung mit einheimischen Völkern in geringerem Maße stattfand als bei anderen Turkstämmen, traten dem politischen Stammesbund der Kaschgai im Laufe der Zeit auch Kurden, Luren, Perser und arabischstämmige Iraner bei.

I'm Turk. I respect and admire a lot the nomadic folks of Iran, whatever their ethnicity, Qashqai, Bakhtyari Luris, Kurds, Khurasanis...They are noble and honour Iran, and perpetrate the old traditions of Great Iran. Turks & Iranians are historically and culturally very close peoples.

Iranian does not necessarily mean Aryan. it simply means anyone who lives in the greater Iranian plateau, which includes the Turkic tribes too. others are Persians, Lurs, Kurds, Belouchis, Ozbeks, Afghans, Tajiks, Paks even Arabs who do speak the Persian language (let's hope willingly and not by force) and consider themselves a part of that land and its common culture.
