This song was written in 1969 with David Eisenhower in mind; he was in the Naval Reserve and sent to the south of France in 1969-71 at the height of the action in Vietnam. Ted Kennedy served in the late 1950s to 1960s for two years in the Army in the Embassy in Paris, France. Al Gore went to Vietnam, but he was a long way from the action. George W. Bush was in the Air National Guard and never activated for Vietnam, as others were. Rmemeber that there was an active draft after WWII to 1972.

Mohamed Elbaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, recently stated that he had seen no evidence of Iran pursuing nuclear weaponization. Plus, Iran signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1970. Surveys also show that religiously and politically the majority of Iran's population is against nuclear weapons. May I ask what your evidence for Iran being a nuclear threat is?
