i don't get it, the (N) train has an R160B and an R68. the R160B has 10 cars and the R68 has 8. how can 10 cars fit in 1 platform if a 8 train car fit too

R68 are 75 foot cars and R160 are 60 foot cars. 75 times 8 equals 600 and 60 times 10 also equals 600. BMT/IND Platforms are 600 feet long meaning that both kinds of cars fit along those platforms.

Why the hell dos the L use 8 car trains when they are the busiest lettered line in the MTA? The platforms are long enough for 10 car trains so the MTA has nobody to blame but themselves for L train overcrowding. The MTA is also to blame for Lex Ave overcrowding but i'll get into that later.

Ah most of the IND/BMT Lines have 8 cars, also the its not that long to platform 10 cars and R-160A-1's on the J, L, M and Z trains came in 4 car sets hense why they have 8 cars only!
