What an amazing video! Thanks for posting. I'd love to visit Svalbard any time of the year. I bet there's a lot of excitement there when the sun comes back after the months of darkness.
Yes definitively. There are people in Longyearben, Barentsburg as well as in the various scientific facilities. In Longyearben one can find a small hospital and a school.
Great video. A frightening but beautiful place all at the same time. That eerie music in the background fit in perfect. I have a great respect for those who make their living working in conditions like that, and a wonderment that native peoples managed to survive for thousands of years under those same conditions. They must have been some tough old birds back then. Thanks for posting it.
I have been fortunate enough to go there I also have a swiss friend who goes there about twice a year for about 2 months a time he loves it and when I visited it in August 2004 I deeply loved this place and would love to get work up there in the future.
me too!!! but Svalbard is very far from México.. not!

Ohh. There is that phrase: "it was a dark and stormy night..."
In its own way, it seems like about the most interesting place on earth.

Excellent. A lot of driving through the village. A storm. Night. Wind.
Great feelings as I watch.
What an awesome view of this place.

That's not a storm these are normal weather conditions at this time of the year.
