ok i have had this problem before there is nothing wrong with the app its self the problem is not cleaning you iphone screen. when you touch the screen a lot your fingers will eventually dirty up the touch screen and that will prevent your fingers from hitting the buttons to make the noise. just clean your device once in while

also notice that this problem is most likely occuring because he, like me, has a case on his iphone.
just pointing that out. its why the phone isnt grounded.

no he is. he emailed me saying you can touch the metal outer ring to ground your phone, or plug in the usb without it being in the computer.
or you can take one finger, probably the lower left, and move it in a direction by half an inch, or about 2cms. this will fix it in the meantime.
