With regards to the bow - the actor probably isn't strong enough to use an english war bow (or as the victorians renamed it - longbow) I used one on Ridley Scott's Robin Hood film last year for four months and all the archers were big guys. The pull is up to 100 lbs.
But it's typical of the new bbc stuff, they get everything wrong, preferring to focus on some kiddy friendly story than a good solid gritty drama.

Dunno. Why did they film the show in Budapest. Looks as much like England as the moon. It's not a history lesson and shouldn't be thought of as being in any way a serious depiction of Medieval England. Infact, when this show was envisaged, it wasn't going to be about RH at all. Thank god it's finally been axed. The BBC have fallen very far these days.

Yeah! I'm not that kind of man who allways looking for mistakes, but RH and the long bow really belong to eachother.

Yeah, I never understood why they gave him the hungarian bow, it didn't make any sense, also in the beginning of the show he had some sort of weird persian or turkish scimitar type of sword which was also weird. Also the character "Archer" had a small wakizashi which was even weirder.
