The government reports that 70% of the time the TSA FAILS to find guns, explosive materials and potential bomb materials. Hire low IQ imbeciles and you get that kind of performance. I used to give the entry test for TSA screeners. TSA has a policy of hiring unskilled, uneducated morons. They didn't stop the shoe bomber or the underwear bomber, now they make people take off their shoes and submit to full body screening. (NEWS FLASH - IT'S TOO LATE, YOU ALREADY FAILED TO STOP THOSE THREATS!)

You CANNOT protect against terrorism by responding to threats AFTER you failed to stop them. Disband the TSA and form an agency of INTELLIGENT, TRAINED security PROFESSIONALS.

I just came back home from a year in afghanistan and while I traveled back to the US I carried 3 x 20" aluminum pipe that I machined on a lathe so you could insert a hock to work your for-arm muscles, the point is that through an x-ray machine they looked liked pipe bombs and I carried that shit all the way home, so much for Airport security.

i worked before the TSA took over i use to get tested all the time back then if you failed the test you would be let go i never failed the test i always passed and was given some small amount of money .... but when the tsa tookover i never got hirred since i guess i was brown so fuck the TSA window dressing ass holes

anybody can work for tsa...as long as you got a HS diploma...or have experience in 1 year of security. once you're in...you know all their "secrets"... my point is... that guy or girl you went to school with, is protecting you and our homeland, do you trust him?

I took TSO homeland security test today, and failed.. it's a bull shit test that is really hard especially the end part with the x-ray machine.. they make things so difficult to get on board with them, you start off with 11.00 an hour and you have to take tests every 30 days, if u fail you're fired... i make 18.50 and am not required to take any tests. i have 10 years in the security field.. but all around i rather become a deputy then a homeland security agent or tso officer.

Well the thing they do is tell you to sit tight home, and they will email you a pass or fail email when they get a chance.. you can only take the test 2 times in your life, after the second time you can never take the test again... it was a difficult test, especially the x-ray part... they make the requirements to high, they're acting like a special forces team, 2xs and you can try again? lmfao! wow thats pretty harsh for a slum paying job. i would rather become a sheriff

Point is, even when tipped-off the rates of success are abysmal. Which means if three people tried to pass something through the checkpoint one of them would likely succeed. Yet no planes are falling from the sky.

The testing people are probably local to the airport, Airport staff probably clock them as soon as they walk through the door.. That's what we do with the department for transport anyhoo..
