I remember you from triggerstreet. These punk wannabees with their fancy hd cameras and dollies should take a look at your stuff and see what real storytelling is. Great short elmer!
I like the poem. Very existential and it touches someplace. I also do like that exterior shot that permeates the film. However, I do think that panning could've looked a little smoother. Just a thought.
Bravo, Elmer! I can relate to that. The music really helped with the mood as did the sound of the rain. I like all of your films - I think this will be my latest favorite. :-)
Have you thought about trying Clorox Cleanup on your sink? Just sayin'. :-P
@SeaMowse Hey, thanks for watching. And finally, someone mentions the sink.;) As I said in a post below, I was surprised no one had. The stain was from pouring out the water I'd cooked beets in that night, I could have easily washed it out with a couple swipes but when I went to shoot I started laughing and rolled the tape, f*** it.
I like it elmer, more the second viewing similar to a poem. maybe part of your rage was first sparked by fear of being a rent check away from homelessness yourself. maybe you, like me in the past and others, are a rent check away from losing their place and sitting in that guy's shoes or then exhausting friends and family before sitting in that guy's shoes. just a key sentence or two more like that would really make this more powerful for me. john p.s. any news on your mother video airing?
@progressiveleftpress Hey, John, thanks for watching. Ain't heard nothin' yet, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a good while, those big networks are like the Queen Mary, they don't turn on a dime.
@greengrasscat Hey, thanks for watching, I'll tell my clothes closet you said they're cute! ;) I'm surprised no one mentioned the ugly sink. It's usually not so bad, but I'd cooked beets for din din, pouring the water out and leaving a stain, I could have easily washed it out but when I went to shoot I started laughing and rolled the tape, f*** it.

Elmer, yet again you are showing us all how a video should be made. Yet another reality check by the only worthy vlogger on the youtube network.

Once again, my friend, your insightful short is thought provoking and haunting.
Good job. The Chopin piece is a very nice choice as well.

It is certainly a powerful piece, if only I could pull together a video like this. Then I am sure I would be content.
