Eau Claire, WI got 23 inches of snow in less than 24 hours on Dec 12, 2010, which drifted as soon as it hit the ground. I have picture of my car the next day and all you can see is my drivers side mirror poking out the side of a huge snow pile. Needless to say, I didn't make it to work for 2 days.

I'm from Los Angeles and I've only seen snow fall and stick to the ground twice! When it snowed in Los Angeles, CA I think in 2005 or 2006 and when it snowed on Dec. 17, 2008 in Las Vegas!
I wish i lived where snow was a novelty. This past winter we got around 100 inches of snow in 2-3 months. They don't close highways and school don't shut down unless there's 10+ inches lol
@Godisangry Yeah same in Chicago. One high school in my area went 40 years without a snow day. The other went 30 or so. Then this year we had that thunder snow storm, which dropped 30 plus inches on the lake front. School was cancelled that day lol. Chicago and Minneapolis are the most prepared cities in the U.S. for snow. However, 3 feet, and it's going to be hard to do much. I did go to a movie that day though, lol.
@JzZtv lol It literally snows every other year. =) This is Vegas's first major snow day after like 17 years and schools are closed becuz its like 4 inchs of snow! =D At night its beautiful seeing the snow and the lights from the strip.
@rake1087 Gets to 115 F degrees in vegas during summer but can go as 20 F degress in winter. Also it snows like every other year. It's a nice break from the heat.

global warming is the most noticed in cooler environments, such as Canada. This year I didn't see much as winter until middle of December. Then it got very very cold. Now, close too the end of 08. It is mild. So, how bad is global warming really is. Perhaps, climate well switch around. Warmer in the coldest places and cold in the warmest. Perhaps, this is not a question too ask your self, but the next generation. Thats my big yapp.
