  • Thanks Ed, I was always bummed that I never had a copy of this. Great to finally get a chance to see it. (And yeah, I'll never forget the aftermath. Holy geeze....)

  • This was probably the last time a World Series was played during the daytime during the weekends.

  • does anyone know who they showed at around 1:35? Milt Wilcox?

  • Then Vice President George H.W Bush was in the stands singing the national anthem, a true patriot! I was only two when this happened how I wish I was at least 8 and could have expierenced the joy of the World Series victory and President Reagan's victory a few weeks later.

  • Being a 1984 baby born in Detroit makes you so proud let me tell you. The Tigers will never ever be this good again. Shame.

  • Very interesting to compare this rendition with the one Jose Feliciano did in '68, prior to the *previous* WS Game 5 at Tiger Stadium. Talk about your polar opposite approaches (and responses!).

Truth be told, I'm still kind of partial to Feliciano's version.

  • @mdumas43073

Nothin' beats Jose Feliciano in Game 5 of the '68 Series.

    Still gives me goose bumps.

  • Thanks for the memory, Ed. I always tried to get a copy of this and now you've done it for me. Hope to see you at the 150th!! - David Cole

  • HAIL TO THE VICTORS!!!!

  • GO TIGERS AND GO BLUE!!!!

  • One of my most vivid memories of college - what a great time (and crazy - if you remember the "celebration" after the game)!

  • That was fabulous and great to see Tiger Stadium again.
