I came here because I'd never listened to Chickenfoot's music before. I like the artists in the band. Don't really like this too much (the song at least). Though I can't stand seeing these comments where people say "DLR rocks! Long live Diamond Dave!" and "Fuck Sammy Hagar!". Don't compare Sammy to David Lee Roth just because they were both in Van Halen at separate times. It's as idiotic as going to an Extreme video and saying "Fuck Gary Cherone!  LONG LIVE SAMMY HAGAR!"

I like Sammy Hagar and I'm glad he's found success with Chickenfoot, but I just don't like the music.....at all...the parts are greater than the sum. It sounds like four guys playing separately, the sound could be fuller. And to compare the band 'Chickenfoot' to a Rock 'n Roll entity like AC/DC is retarded. If some people like chickenfoot better musically, that's fine. AC/DC has represented rock and stayed true to the same sound for 35 years...show some fuckin respect.

I think the Van Hagarish sound that misterandy1977 refers to is from the fact that Sammy and Michael Anthony did all the harmony vocals in Van Halen, so naturally since Anthony and Hagar are in this band it's going to sound like that lol.

How do you know? Montrose went down hill when Sam went solo and Eddie went down hill when Sam quit VH and went solo again. It wasn't until Dave joined VH again that Eddie started getting himself back on his feet.
