  • 0:41 Yep. Hes Jack black. He says "the metal" the same way he does in his song "The metal" :D

  • this is where i got my metal zone for free =) tinyurl(dot)com/prizes2earn .... you can also get other different kinds of pedals.

  • he sounds just like jack black man..

  • 0:29 Order please!

  • are you JB???

  • That was funny when u threw it

  • like a boss

  • He isn't Jack Black. His name is Eric Whorton. Sorry to disappoint y'all.

  • To anyone, is the MT-2 played with a clean channel on the amp, or can you support it with some gain? Also, is it worth getting this over a Tube Screamer (I have a Peavey Valveking 112)?

  • @DashH90Three Play it through the clean channel, it doesn't need extra gain anyway, you'll only ruin the tone you get out of it. If you want to make some combinations that include drive from your amp, I don't think this is will work for you.

  • the talking!! is he jack black?? how much is that little black monster?? any body here know what kind of gadget/pedal was used in the power rangers theme?? and the one slash used in sweet child o mine?? thanks in advance for your answers!!

  • @jadBC666 Cry Bayby WAHH

  • @undertakeredgar waa thank you so much sir!!

  • @jadBC666 No problem.

  • @jadBC666 slash uses the overdrive channel on his marshall amps so there's no pedal but you can get a tube screamer that will come close with the right settings on it

  • @jak729 thank you so much for the info sir! i was thinking what to buy between an overdrive or a distortion ! thnk you so much!!

  • omg this pedal is off the hook i want one

  • @saskekun101 lol i recomend saving some money lol i bought this for 109 bucks pluss 2 cables to connect to my amp and a power supply(a power supply is a plug to plug your pedal and not have to use a battery) it all summed up to 155.9 bucks pluss tax

  • The metal ( zone)

    xD

  • i thought overall the distortion was great, but very unclear.

  • MXR FULLBORE OR BOSS MT-2 ?????

  • @pnoyrock76 mt-2, it has a better range of tone in my apinion

  • JACK BLACK IS BACK!!!! :D

  • ppl look at his shoes when did Jack Black ever were cowboy boots???

  • @dean9071 Since now

  • he's a fuckin badass when he threw the box and everything to plug in the metalzone :D

  • shood i use a telecaster with this?

  • hahaha its jack motherfucking black!!

  • Dude thats totally Jack Black

  • I like how I've seen two videos of people playing guitar who sound like Jack Black, but neither video shows the person's face.

  • i am convinced this is jack black !

  • anybody know the song in the beginning?

  • Oh yeah thats jack black

  • Don't even have to be watching the vid to know it's a MT-2...

  • i think he knows by now

  • Comment removed

  • You sounded killer man! That is an intense pedal! Another nice video. Love the George Lynch you add onto a lot of your vids.. He is my fav! Love your videos, keep doing ur thang dude, peace

  • lol, every metal pedal you try you seem hella pissed off about...lol little ronnie bastard heres your metalpedal.

  • Pedal unboxing, Gearwire style!

  • You sound like jack black 0.0

  • This.

    Is.

    JACKBLACK!

  • I love how he freaking opens the box right in front of you.

  • what song its at intro?

  • Comment removed

  • didn't know Jack Black could play the lead guitar aswell :D

  • this pedal rocks, i traded a hardwire tl-2 for it. installed the Diesel mod. not so nasely, but stock its not bad with a good tube amp like my jcm 900 4502. it smokes cranked.

  • I think it sounds like bullshit, I don't like it at all.

  • you make every distortion pedal sound amazing

  • if u are jack black pelase repliy

  • are u jack black

  • i freaking hate this pedal...

  • does the awsome playing come with the pedal ?:p

  • Jack black one of the reasons I started playing guitar. Also what would be a great pedal for a Metallica sound. I just bought an expensive amp and the overdrive isn't the greatest

  • @DisposableHeros423 What amp did you get?

  • @Vomitore Well when I went to the store I tried a lot of amps but I got the Blackstar HT-40 for $700.

  • @DisposableHeros423 i have heard good things about them

you probably have to crank it to get it sounding good if it is a tube amp !

  • @dusted04 it's and it's amazing just need a distortion pedal

  • @DisposableHeros423 what amp did you buy ?

  • @dusted04 I bought a Blackstar HT CLUB 40 watt 1x12 Combo Amp 12" Celestion speaker for only $700 and the clean is just so amazing.

  • Metallica boss

  • Is That Man In Jack Black :o ?

  • which is better metal zone or metal core¿?¿??¿?

  • @ludseb personally i think it depends on your budget, metal zone is cheaper

  • Does anyone know if I could use this thing as an EQ for something like a Big Muff?

  • Did you need your stunt boots?

  • Isn't that Kage's job ?

  • 5:49

    the pick of destiny

  • Gibson SG... fancy clothing (boots), naturally funny/goofy, didn't bother to even glance at the manuals or box and unwrapped in like a second, as someone said before chubby fingers, "coily wire metal zone let's do this", totally Jack Black. :)

  • 2:33 he plays the music war pigs of black sabath, yes, he is JB...your chubby hands.HEHEHEHE

  • I love how he just throws the box and manual across the room and plugs it in and starts playing

  • Nice, not even a word about the manuals and box _|m|, this is a pedal review

  • are you jack black?

  • @DanianaJones I know hah he sounded jack black maybe he is... HEY JACK!!!! REVEAL URSELF MAN LOL

  • Thanks for playing without then with the effect... so many people that demo pedals don't do that and it pisses me off!

  • dont like this pedal. i personally prefer more beefy mids and not too much icepick in my ear bullshit.

  • @7goatmilk7 im totally with u on that. my bands other guitarist has one of these n he likes to turn the mids all the way down n it annoys the shit outa me!!

  • awesome distortion amazing

  • WAR PIGS!

  • Hi.Thanks for demo.Pls tell me is that pedal made in Japan?

  • @ArtInfidelAlexander no its made in taiwan:)

  • @ArtInfidelAlexander It was actually one of the first BOSS pedals that wasn't previously produced in Japan. It's exclusive to the Taiwan factory.

  • u guys stop argueing... its jack blAck :O

  • Not that an SG is a bad guitar of course, but when you have it that stupid fucking color yellow and play garbage riffs your doing no justice to your guitar or that pedal. So stick to playing country music/

  • I hate people that do this shit. Its a fucking METAL pedal, and this fag just plays ROCK riffs and solos. TRY PLAYING SOME ACTUAL HEAVY SHIT TO TEST THE PEDAL OUT. Its nice you can do some harmonics and what not, but do some good powerchord riffs or something, come on man you didnt even play 1 riff that sounded heavy. Thats what you get when some 45 yr old guy tests a pedal out. Play some fucking Lamb of God or something. You make me not want to buy this pedal with that gay SG

  • @terrioja i would just like to point out that 45 year old guys are who started metal....

  • BLACK SABBATH!

  • 0:28 "And make sure you keep your packaging and receipt, and carefully read the instruction manual."

  • Is that the legendary Jack Black???

  • When I first started playing guitar about 16 years ago my friends and I went out and bought this pedal. We thought it was the most AMAZING pedal there ever was! Then once we started to acquire better gear and learned what decent tone is, we realized this pedal is just a beginners crunch pedal that'll suck the tone out of anything.

  • @Vomitore yes!

  • @Vomitore the worse piece of shit ever made

  • @Vomitore You make a good point.....HOWEVER, as with any distortion pedal (not just this one), its more for guitar players with a tight budget, not everyone can afford a $5000 Mesaboogie. I wouldnt stoop as low as to say its a beginners pedal, you can still get some decent tones out of it. So, go kick rocks with your stupid friends and continue to play your guitar in your basement going no where in life with no record deals.

  • @terrioja Was that a copy and paste putdown? You can get an SD-1 which kills the MT-2 for way cheaper. Just run it as a boost with the amp's distortion and there you go. The point I was making is when you first start playing guitar, your ear isn't developed. Once you kind of get an understanding of setting up your amp's EQ properly, you realize this pedal is not very good. Great tone comes from the player, their hands and their playing finesse. A great player can make anything sound good.

  • @Vomitore Copy and paste? You must have downs syndrome. As far as your pedal comparison, in all reality it all boils down to a matter of OPINION. Thats all that is. Just as many people would disagree with your statement as they would agree with it, just a matter of taste. I play Death Metal, which from the sound of it you probably play Black Sabbath or some shit, which barely has any distortion at all compared to todays standards.

  • @Vomitore I agree with your other statement, AGAIN not everyone has a $3-5000 amp with good tone and EQ. Yes if your good you can make anything sound good, but as you stated, for the TRAINED ear, dispite how good you play you can still tell the difference between shit tone and good tone. So....dont know what you were getting at. We are talking about pedal tone hear not guitar ability, fuckface

  • @terrioja You're a funny troll. As for death metal, either pedal is usable for whatever your ears need. Hell, Chuck loved the SD-1. And 3,000-5,000 for an amp I'll never go down that road again. Go used for 800-1500 and you're set! Depending how far you want to go with the total amp setup, however.

  • I have this pedal... and better buy Metal Muff!

  • @IronMetl I got this pedal too . And I now somehow regretted it. Is Metal Muff much better?

  • @TheNiteJason

IMO I think it's better - but it's all about what sound u want!

  • Comment removed

  • around 2:40 ish He's playing War Pigs.

  • juqjajajaj yo terminando de elegir entre el MT2 y el MXR fullbore metal y tu botas la caja del pedal jajaj (Y)

    0:28

  • in your opinion, whats better, the boss metal zone or the Danelectro Metal

  • it sounds like satans genie!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is got to be one of the worst pedals out there, i had one and got rid of it right away. everything just sounded so unnatural, like a chainsaw or jet circling overhead the whole time, so annoying!

  • @userboy6 The chainsaw sound is exactly why you use this pedal!

  • @userboy6 Have you tried a Metal FAB? so I wouldn't be talking.

  • I noticed a few videos back looking at other distortion pedals that this guy sounds an awful lot like jack black

  • I think that BOSS should hire real famous musicians to demonstrate their products, and give their honest opinions. Like imagine if Ozzy Osbourne demonstrated the boss VE-20 vocal pedal.

  • nice boots!

  • could i do that with a squier strat guitar? just asking....

  • I see, u are using The Pick of Destiny! Of course, u are Jack Black.

  • how much u paid foe that pedal??

  • heh dobre było jak jebnął tym pudełkiem :D

  • 0:28 "packaging...? What for?"

    xD jajajaja

These reviews are ffffffking awesome xD

  • dude how can i get it to sound like slash ?

  • @fcWolf1995 Get his wah pedal...I know he also has Seymoure Duncan (Spelt that wrong) signature humbuckers

  • You Kick more ass then Chuck Norris

  • sounds like keith morris haha

  • R.I.P. snake

  • thanks for the demo Jack Black!!

  • @musicfreak1727 the song is mr scary, dokken

  • jack black ??

  • its daron malakians favorite pedal

  • An SG (school of rock), THE METAL (Tenacious D), his voice... this man is Jack Black.

  • @ImChrisEasley

    sorry to disappoint you but...

search for 'state of the vintage guitar market' about 1:36

  • @ImChrisEasley And the pick is GREEN!!!!! THE P.O.D.!!!!!

  • gotta love this guy.

  • What was that song at the end?????? :O

  • Cocaine's good uh?bleach,god stuff!

  • this really sounds like jack black

  • Instructions? FUCK INSTRUCTIONS.

    *Throw away the box*

  • SOUNDS LIKE JACK BLACK

    LOLOL

  • Sounds like the ds1

  • ITS A CRAPPY PEDAL!!!

  • Hahaha: ''The dr. Z.... The SG.... The white coileeee... cable and the MT... 2

  • i´m buying a metal zone only for 50$ :D

  • JACK BLACK? :o

  • I want THE METAL zone. I'm saving up for one.

  • @godzilla964 i got it, yes it is great, but there are hundreds of better pedals i think.. GMD just can make EVERYTHING sounds perfect! :D

  • do u guys recommend this pedal? i have a vox satchurator but i feel its not high gain enuff so will use it as a booster and looking for a hi gain dist pedal. was considering this or the modtone extreme metal. any other pedals to recommend?

  • @agentelectric Emma Pisdiyauwot, in my eyes the best high gain pedal so far ;)

  • @agentelectric This one is very awesome. If u want gain and a heavy distortion, this is the one. Anotherone you could use as a boost is probablly the Metal Core. But i like this one more (I even have one). Good luck with your buy.

  • This has got to be Jack Black!!! Fucking great guy man!

  • I have only used two types of distortion since I started playing in 85. The first was the DS-1 Boss distortion. I switched to this in like 98. It seemed to give me a little more low end, popular in todays metal.

  • nice boots.

  • Jack Black is awesome !

  • u sound like jack black

  • Look how fast he opens and throws the box like this is the 70th time hes trying.

  • you uys are right it does sound like JAYBLES :-)

  • Boss sucks!

  • that pedal sounds like cat being raped in an alley by fourteen year olds with M80's in their hands.Horrible sound Boss ugh

  • just think of how many pedals he has :D

  • hey jack black give me ur boss metal zone

  • the dunlop fullbore metal owns this shit

  • @FirePower3006 fullbore metal does definitely own this shit, but it is from mxr not dunlop:D

  • @guitarsbunch347 dunlop literally owns mxr

  • @aldricsuan o shit haha i 4got about that! well its technically from the mxr line tho....

  • ok...this dude is Jack Black. Plays same kind of music and sounds just like him. Even talks just like him...."knobbies"....yeah that's Jables. Just listen when he says "metal". Gearmanndude, show yourself!

  • Boss metal core is waaaaay better get it instead of this

  • I had no luck with this pedal - I found it waspy and harsh no matter how I tweaked the EQ. The EQ section is good, but the gain stage, and the way it clips is not too nice imo. I have a Blackstar HT-Distx now. They don't even compare... The Distx is superb.

  • this has to be jack black, i mean he loves SGs and sounds like him to boot

  • @Hotdog40404040404 LOL dude, i thought that too, he sounds totally Jack Black, it got2 be him !! hahahahah

  • i use this pedal out of a solid state, and many people tend to use tube amps. since im not made of money, does anybody have any tips on how to make this pedal sound metal-y through a solid state?! PLEAAAAASE :)

  • wow yeah and the school of rock???

  • interesting this pedal has a good rock sound, i think i like the digitech better for metal though!

  • pair of stunb boots? wtf? xD

  • what is the song in the intro??

  • If you hate the distortion on your amp, and you've got time to dial in your sound, it's a good pedal. When it's adjusted right, it sounds really good. But if a butterfly flutters in and the breeze from his wings flapping knocks one of your knobs into the wrong position it sounds like shit. The EQ knobs are very, VERY sensitive.

  • @kapnkrinkly i know what you mean, it seems to sound better than any distortion ive heard from a multi effects processor and i have an art sgx 2000 and a digitech rp7 that don't sound near that good! i just got a digitech death metal pedal on ebay hopefully i'll like it?

  • este no es jack black, jack black es mas gordo !!

  • had that damn thing

  • I sold mine, it sounded to flat, not thick and heavy enough

  • @TheGregheadman Yeah true, but there are several upgrade kits that make them killer. There's the Keeley mod,the Twilight mod,the Deizel mod and one other. But since you don't have it anymore check out the discontinued Zoom Tri-Metal-they go for about $50-100 bucks on Ebay-you won't be dissappointed.

  • @38decembers The pedal I've been planning to get is the Biyang Metal-End King. I've watched several videos on here and it sounds awesome.

  • Wait a minute... Was that the PoD you had in your hand?

  • play us a tenacious d song

  • is metal core better or this?

  • @KHomedy metal zone is, it has a tighter and stronger sound and more eq options
