I love this opening because it's like a virtual tour guide of 1970s graphic art trends. Seriously, this thing is the entire decade of graphic art summarized in 90 seconds. Practically every trend of that time is here---neon shadows, montage, bubble backgrounds, psychedelic colors, dot patterns---freakin' everything.
Did anyone else notice that Fujiko's hair suddenly becomes blonde instead of her natural brown at the end of the intro? XD Just wanted to let those know who may have missed it at first.

I resent shoujo being seen as the root of all shit in modern anime because true shoujo died in the 90s. Stuff like Shoujo Kakumei Utena that had some DEPTH and SOUL to it. .. ...watch better shoujo before you slate the entire genre. That'd be like me saying all shonen is nothing but titties and explosions with bad/stupid/banal/insipid stories (about fighting something). :P
@princesstamika you might notice if you read again that i meant the music in shoujo shows,i watched a few old shoujo shows for the sake of general knowledge an otaku should have and i enjoyed it,and what you said exactly puts my point forward,all the themes in shoujo shows NOW are shit since good shoujo died in the 90's

While still fairly good, this one's so different from Series 2 OP 1 , which is the most classic version, that it shocked me the whole season.
